I should also add a 5th caveat: No large metro areas for me on this trip. I already have ample opportunities to visit those for work reasons and I don't want to get bogged down in traffic when moving from one area to the next.

^ Papi I am not overly fond of black clubs and other clubs with heavy urban themes. Other than that, I enjoy exploring a diverse selection of clubs. Smaller city settings and rural setting both work for me. I guess what I'm seeking are target rich areas, with enough clubs to make a 1-2 day stop a real exploration event but not in a large metro center that is tough to move around in.

Hopefully that narrows things down a bit.

So I offer the suggestion of the Huntsville AL area strip clubs, with perhaps a stop at the Jack Daniels Distillery on the way over or back.

I think Huntsville is really all black?

Then their is that black Furnace in Birmingham, a membership model venue.

I'd say that the "no large metro areas" plus the "local competition" requirement are to some degree exclusive of each other. Doesn't seem like there are many viable option even before considering available mileage.

You have some good options to the south of you, just stop short of Miami to avoid the traffic, Pompano isn't a bad stop, with 4 good choices, still a few in broward like Goldfinger's and Scarlet's Cheetah in Hallandale is up and down lately or you could make Daytona a destination, on the way you could hit the scattered smaller club's on your drive down, Tampa is easy driving distance and traffic isn't terrible, Alabama's fairly close, so's Georgia, Atlanta has a bit of traffic depending on the day and time, or you could do the Carolina's and let us know what's up there. Somehow I don't think you have a shortage of area's to visit.

Some of the areas that have hit my radar include the following:

Pasco County, FL Huntsville, AL Knoxville, TN Louisville KY (stretch) Morgantown, WV (stretch) Greensboro, NC Raleigh-Durham, NC

And of course I am not lazy and have definitely sought reviews, but a number of these areas are thinly covered.

I would also appreciate any intel on the alcohol situation re: BYOB clubs in each location. For example, in some places BYOB means you can bring in anything but in others it is limited to beer and wine. It's just mind boggling how many times I see a BYOB club reviewed with no discussion at all about this - just something like "so I ordered a coke."

@25: I should have also said that I was looking for something outside of FL (Pasco County excepted). Daytona is almost local to me and I know it somewhat well. I also don't really like Cuban girls tbh, which is another driver.

TOFTT and try Fayetteville, North Carolina. It used to be a top 5 city for strip clubs. Not many reviews lately.

One area I passed through recently didn’t have time to hit any clubs though but I was interested in but maybe the Emerald coast area strip clubs. (Although still in Florida but it’s not that close to you) Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola, Panama City Beach. We never talk about those clubs on here.

Idk the southeast outside of Florida seems like a black hole of strip clubs. But maybe I’m wrong on that.

For OTC Charlotte might be have a lot of opportunities. Of that list I like Louisville particular PT’s downtown but Foxy Lady seemed promising too.

Another one although it might be too far but Evansville has got this whole scene of like 5 clubs, seems like it’s match for what your kinda of looking for.

Rick: In your case, you might need to start with where haven't you been that holds any level of interest to you (in any way😎). Or take on an area that you've never been to (and that TUSCL trashes) and conquer it!

@Muddy: Thanks for your thoughts and I will keep a couple of those locations in mind.

As far as SE Florida, the problem is that if I go there I'll be (1) largely seeing the same types of club mixes over and over; (2) unable to avoid large groups of Cuban dances, especially as I move south; and (3) stuck with touring mostly in FL given its size and my midweek time constraints.

I have a fair amount of experience clubbing in FL it's basically a mix of tourist traps, country dives and straight up brothel clubs. The only difference is that as you get closer to the larger cities the ratio of tourist traps to country dives increases and there's the added mix of urban clubs. Now yes I can certainly have a lot of fun in FL, I want to experience some different local flavors, which is often hard to find in FL clubs because so many of the girls are transplants from other places.

Rick. Last time I was in Pasco at Bare Assets, they have had an influx of Cubans that I hadn't noticed until recently. You stated above that you didn't want to go to a club that was heavy with Cubans.

If you do go to Pasco and don't like the scene, about 30 minutes up the road in Pinellas is Diamond Dolls and Oz. Oz has a ton of young girls of all shapes, sizes and races during the day and at night. Diamond Dolls is known for fun ITC but very heavy on Cubans. Both have cheap drinks but individual dances are expensive. The timed rooms are relatively at par with the Tampa area.

@rockie: Fair points all. I provided a handful of areas that I am considering, but I will also provide some additional exclusions.

I used to club in Charlotte a lot and had very mixed experiences. The group that owns all but a couple of clubs in Charlotte definitely work to live down to the Spanish definition of their name - MAL (which means bad in Spanish) Entertainment. I also found Uptown Cabaret, one of the two independents, to be no better.

Fayetteville NC was also no fun for me. I found the clubs to be depressing or Grade A tourist traps. Some of them seem to rely heavily on milking military guys of their paychecks.

Greenville SC might hold some appeal to me, but I'm afraid that I would be too disappointed in returning there after all the fun I used to have. An update of the Greenville scene by anyone familiar with it would be appreciated however.

Will42 has done exhaustive research in Knoxville, Huntsville, and Louisville for a man that resides in TN.

Obviously good SC areas are the exception rather than the norm - in the SE FL is the best place, outside of FL maybe Atlanta but ATL seems mostly Cubans and AAs these days so it may not be a good fit for you - have you given Cocoa Beach a thought - 3 decent clubs there - I'd say Lido, Cheaters, and Dancers Royale would be the order I'd check them out (the old Inner Room might have been a good fit for you but it's no longer and it's now Dancers Royale which is a pretty-different club) - pre-Covid I used to hit Cocoa Beach and liked the laidback vibe - Cocoa Beach may not offer enough clubs for an extended stay, but may serve as a stop-over for a night or two on your way to Pasco.

Three suggestions:

1. Sample the clubs in Tampa, St. Pete and Pasco County

2. Longer drive to Pompano Beach

3. Indulge in a stop at one of the well-reviewed Orlando Amps, Milk Massage, New Day Spa, Blue Ocean, Golden Gate would be good choices.

Rick if you make it to OH or PA or MD I'd love to be of service and assist you with the bars you are looking for. I think we share the same hunting grounds and interests. Too far away for this trip

For Louisville, a Sunday/Monday stop over would be somewhat iffy. There are some clubs open, but they won't have the best girls. PT's will be open, but bring some money. If you want OTC, 4 figures is going to be needed to pull the best ones, and they won't be the low volume ones you like. Generally speaking, there's three types of girls there. High priced hookers, girl who promise reasonable prices but who will ghost, and those who don't fuck at all. Plus there's the whole no nudity thing. For less money, and a notch down in looks, you could probably pull someone from Thorobred. Blue Diamond is a waste of time, despite their upscale decor and prices.

If you are actually coming this way, I'd suggest Lexington. It's a couple hours closer, and right on I-75, plus they have nude clubs. Not sure which clubs would be best, but I've heard decent things about Cowboy's, Diva's and Platinum. Haven't been there in a decade or more though.

@Jimmy: Appreciate the kind offer. But you're right that it's probably a little further than I'm likely to go.

@GMD: Thank you for the intel, which is much appreciated. I definitely don't want to spin my heels in Louisville when I could readily enjoy Lexington.

I mean if it’s just OTC and you haven’t done Greensboro/Raleigh Durham I would probably try one of those and your back up plan if doesn’t work out are not even an hour away from each other.

Would it be worth a trip to the Atlanta area?

I know Florida to Atl can be a long drive, and I’m not sure Atl is still so good without Follies.
