If you are going in daylight, cross at pedwest then walk across the bridge. Ten minutes tops.

I'm pretty sure PED West is still closed. Walk across at Petty's at the end of the trolley line. If the black VIP limo is parked just south of Mexican customs, I'm pretty sure they'll take you to Hong Kong. Just tip the driver $2. You can take the ruta bus to within three blocks on constitution for 10 peso and walk the few remaining blocks or take a taxi directly to HK. Before you get into a taxi I suggest agree with the driver the price. Personally I would not pay over $5.

Petty's should read ped east.

This thread doesn't make sense.

You've been to TJ a half-dozen times but don't know how to get to HK?

What bus are u talking about and what does it have to do with the VIP card?

You can use the shuttle, just tell them you have to renew your VIP card if they even ask! If you go onto Instagram @hongkonggc they post videos of how to find shuttle.
With the discount it makes sense to get a room with the VIP card especially if you plan multiple arribas.

4 am till noon are times to avoid unless you have global entry.

There's nothing wrong with skipping HK to save money. There're 100 hot street girls outside. Going to HK the first time should be a magical experience.

Taken the HK shuttle 6 times now from the border and never asked for VIP card. In the event the shuttle wasn’t coming for a while, HK staff flagged down a taxi and negotiated $5 rate on my behalf.

My mistake. I just got back from TJ this afternoon. Ped west is indeed still closed although google maps reports it is open from 4am to 10pm. Someone should tell them.

@623: Pedwest is STILL closed? I thought it'd have reopened by now given the local authorities eliminated the migrant camp there a few months ago

Usually I take the cab from the border to HK at $5-$6 depending on how willing I am to negotiate the price on that day. If you are referring to shuttle, you don't need VIP card to use their shuttle. Although it will be a day trip for you without sleeping over the night, I think it's still recommended to get a room. I hated it when the cum bois frantically bang my door. When you get a room, you won't have this rather annoying experience cuz they don't time your room. Have fun.

HornyAsianBro99 while I agree that getting your own room is a smart way to go, but it is not entirely true any more that they won't knock. If you get close to an hour with a HK or BT girl, they will knock and tell you that you must buy a bucket of fichas. If you have a street girl or a girl from another club, no knock.
