I'm wondering if the club he was talking about was set up like Trixie's in Louisville used to be. They basically split one large club into two sides with live music on one side and strippers on the other side. I hated that setup because often the music that the band was playing would interfere with the music the girls were dancing to, especially when someone opened the door to go between the two sides. I think the owner's choice to try to run the place as both a live music club and a strip club is a large part of what drove them out of business.

last commentThe only time I've seen a band in a strip club was in Tijuana back in 1961.

I’ve never seen one. The old Cheetah on 10th Street in ATL used to have a comedy act in the evening.
