If more black people in positions of political power were the solution, Baltimore and Detroit would be meccas for black people. Instead they're hellholes. Baltimore, Maryland = Bodymore, Murdaland, in The Wire.

When people fight back they can restore their identity narratives, make new ones based on how they performed in the struggle, rather than how they lived as an object of White scorn, pity, and contempt.

An armed uprising would not only not draw widespread support, but would get thousands killed.
