Is it just me or am I only that thinks that an incredibly high as a kite stripper, who also just had 6 Vegas bombs at the bar, going all the way up to the tippy top of the pole the ceiling is not the greatest idea ever thought up. Some clubs have it go up real high too like 2 stories worth. I have to look around in disbelief and think to my self “eehhh is this really what we’re doing to do right now???”
You might just be tasked with saving the day, your gonna turn Daddy Masta Make it Rain into Jerry Rice. Could it give a discount on the eventual BJ? Maybe. But it’s just too drama for likely how much I’ve also been drinking.
And for the record, I do give credit for the effort most girls just kind of flop on the floor during stage time. Just not sure the risk reward is worth it. Would really sell dances? “That girl way up there 👆! That’s my girl, that’s the one for me, no doubt about it!” Fuck idk maybe.
I might get mildly impressed by how a girl can climb a pole. But it has no impact on me whatsoever in determining if I want her to come over to me after she's on stage.
The only time I have really thought about this was at Tootsies, where the pole is 40 or 50 feet high. There was a little spinner dancer there that would climb the pole upside down until her feet reached the ceiling. Then, she would plant her feet on the ceiling and dance on the ceiling upside down. It looked like a scene from the movie Inception.
I've always appreciated the athleticism of pole work. It takes strength, coordination, skill, and showpersonship (see what I did there?) to make it look effortless. But I've never found it sexually stimulating. I don't recall ever seeing a stripper do pole work that made me want to get dancers with her more than before she mounted up. Really, the criteria I use to decide if I want dances is more about how hard she will work my pole (yeah, ok, that was too easy) and if we can agree on an acceptable tip amount.
Fortunately, I have never seen a dancer fall from the pole. But I have seen some close calls. There is one trick I used to see a lot that seems to be out of vouge now: She climbs all the way up, grabs the pole between her thighs and let's go of the pole with her hands. She starts to free-fall and at the last moment grabs the pole again stopping 2-4 inches above the stage. Looks impressive as fuck. But I never thought it was sexy.
BTW: Deja Vu, pre-covid, used to host an annual "PoleLympics" competition between dancers across several Deja Vu clubs. It was a big marketing draw and the winning dancers got some decent cash prizes, pics on Deja Vu marketing materials and other manufactured celebrity. Not sure of the chain is still doing it.
Hah, I remember climbing to the top of a two story pole at this one club in a college town and a lot of dancers were younger (before the stupid 21+ law in Texas). My moves aren’t even advanced by any means but I guess just the willingness to hang upside down off of one leg from the top was impressive and some other dancers made comments at me like “wow, so you REALLY know what you’re doing at this”
I’ve only been to a couple of clubs where the dancers would move way up the pole. It was impressive to watch, as it looked precarious. Luckily, none of them fell from up high.
I prefer when they stay on their feet and grind away - and give a raunchy type of show. The acrobatics are enjoyable when watching videos, as that’s when I’m more relaxed and not a customer.

And I’ve only met one that I knew was a college cheerleader

Personally not interested in seeing girls climb poles.

Ummm…yeah totally!
I don't have a lot of experience with extras strippers, I doubt they typically they are highly motivated on the pole either.
My guess is the most likely danger to dumb chicks who try to strip is they get turned out by pimps.
