West Coast Story: Random Thoughts, Notes, Musings of Mongering Along the Pacific

I had about a month off this summer and due to COVID restrictions I decided to keep it to the states and head to one of my favorite places, California. Hit some strip clubs and did some tourist stuff all up and down the west coast. And you know I had to tell you fuckers about it.

-I went from Los Angeles to San Francisco/Oakland to Portland to Seattle back down to Reno to Sacramento back to the Bay and down to LA and down to San Diego and back up to LA.

-The one constant in most of these places I visited was the obscene homeless problem. I had my whole wardrobe in my car so if it got broken into and taken I would of been screwed. Very rarely did I stay in or around the inner cities, if I was grabbing a hotel I was more than happy to drive for a little while to get to a quieter suburb. Peace of mind kind of thing.

-Got to make one thing clear. I came out here swinging for the fences. I'm Babe Ruth calling his shot in '32. There would be no driving to the hood at 3am to get a hood rat blow job. Nope fuck that. No settling for mediocrity. 8 and up otherwise move on and save for the next opportunity. There are some incredible looking women in California that you couldn't find anywhere else and I was on a mission to sleep with some of them. So many clubs to visit, if I didn't see anything I was head over heels for, I would cut my losses and go to the next spot.

S O C A L

-I flew in to LAX which from start to finish was an absolute nightmare. Fix your fucking airport LA. The homeless crisis can take a back seat.

-Rented a car, they gave me a black '21 Camry. I didn't expect to get ride that nice. I was under the impression Camry's were kind of a boring but reliable ride, but this year definitely has some giddy up. It was a comfortable, and needed that for the amount of hours I spent on the road. Especially in this town, it's just not a walkable place, you live in your car.

-To me the most fun cities in America are the really big cities, there's just so much going on, so many opportunities so LA I always have a great time and I happen to think it's the best area for a mongering overall in the states. Although club hopping here can just really eat up your day/night. You might look at a map of LA and it may not seem that far but to go from Anaheim to the Valley and then down to Long Beach that'll take all day.

-I was in LA for most of the summer of '19 and in just two years the homeless stuff has gotten even way worse. It was noticeable. Like skid row has just gone everywhere. Hollywood at night sort of looked like the hood at times. I visited the Gold's Gym in Venice Beach aka "The West Coast Mecca" and where Arnold Schwarzenegger used to train back in the 70's. Completely surrounded by homeless tents. Like a moat of crack heads.

-Best food in LA was a Mexican food spot in East LA, Al and Bea's. Never had a burrito that good. Worst, I was craving some east coast kind of food so some Italian spot I saw recommended online was Victor Jrs in Culver City. This guy working the counter look and sounded exactly David Lee Roth. I got a Philly Cheese steak that was a quesadilla on a hero and two of the shittiest slices of cardboard pizza I ever had in my life. LA for food you gotta stick to Mexican or Korean. Outside of that can get rough IME.

-I used to not really get the hype over In N Out. But this time around I got double double with no lettuce or tomato. That's how you got to do it. It's just better that way, it turns into a goey cheesy beefy ball of awesomeness. It's like getting a lettuce and tomato on a philly cheesesteak, it just doesn't work. I ended up getting them daily. Their fries are still the worst though.

-Orange County was a lot less crazy with regards to vagrants than LA county and if I lived out there it would be in the OC for sure. In this recall election I hope Larry Elder can win and I'd like to see what he can do to bring California back on track.

-I made it a point to also hit the Orange County clubs on this go around pretty hard. If you look on prior threads on TUSCL about SoCal clubbing a lot of responses will say stay away, waste of time and to me I don’t really agree. I think the talent is pretty solid out there. Not really extras spots outside of Sahara (Which I think can be good alternative when COI is packed out the wazoo) Is the OC better than the valley? I think so right now. Also I think Ecstasy theater might be closed despite what it says on google was not able to check that out.

-I was really on tourist time, cruising, playing Go Go’s songs, La bamba by Richie Valens, Miserlou by Dick Dale really on my Cali bullshit. That includes strip clubs and Hollywood. And I had to hit up the Seventh Veil from the Motley Crue video. As a strip club fan, it was my Hollywood Sign if you will. I know it wasn't gonna be as cool as you think it's gonna be but you gotta go at least once. I blasted Girls, Girls, Girls the whole way there. I met some chick there, who was one of the hottest girls I've seen in a strip club. Everything, busty, rack, ass, face, blonde chick. Gorgeous. I had to play with that. We went agreed on a $ (200 IIRC) and went to VIP and nope she lied her ass off. It's ok, she definitely was hot and I just ended up going for the LDK and saved the tip for another time. Every few songs they play Girls Girls Girls over there which again as a Tourist is a real nice touch for me, that's exactly what I want to hear when I'm in this club to get that experience I'm looking for. But those workers must hate hearing it so much.

-I was in San Pedro, another part of LA overrun by crackheads. And there was one such crackhead running around setting fires to various garbage cans around the block. And sort of organized militia of townsfolk were following this guy around putting out the fires. Yeah I'm not doing that. Where the fuck is the fire department? Or the police department? Can we get an arrest? I don't even know what to say here.

-BELAX seemed kind of down lineup wise, maybe I went on a bad night.

-SynnCOI How many Asian guy customers can you possibly fit in a strip club? Whatever that answer is, it's at Synn on a Thursday night.(Cheaper VIP's) You really gotta get there early or not at all. My tolerance for being elbow to elbow, standing in a strip club is nil, I'm not fucking with it. I'd rather just go on a another night and pay more not to deal with it.

-Did a ton a club hopping just to check out some new clubs, see new faces. I did a lot of OTC shopping and like I said I was only shopping in the top of the market but damn no joke so I started turning to the SB market to see if there would be better stuff ROI wise.

B A Y A R E A

-I'm a staunch defender of the San Francisco strip club scene. I still have fun there, you just can't be stacking dances. Most of the clubs in the area are on Broadway in North Beach. It's the exact opposite of LA whereas here all the clubs are in walking distance. So you can really do some drinking, club hopping and not have to worry about it. I just love how dense it is. Try walking to clubs in LA.

-I used to just park on the street and have at it, but now you really gotta just pay $20 to put in a manned lot, just to not have to worry about it, so worth it.

-I had a few numbers in my phone from the last time I was here and one stripper who I kept thinking about was one dancer at Vanity After Dark (used to be Penthouse) This girl was incredibly gorgeous, she could model. I met her at the club but she had some GPS when it came to OTC. I thought about it but another chick, busty, Puerto Rican girl (but very americanized not like the NewYoricans I'm used to) not quite as pretty but still hot. Any way I threw out an a fair offer, she said she'll think about it. 10 minutes later she comes back to me and says lets hang. Not a bad consolation prize at all. The 1st stripper is on her way to Phoenix so my fellow Phoenix clubbers be ready for a drop dead gorgeous girl with big time GPS. She offered to hang with her friend for a threesome but too much $$$ and it could be ROB play. Nope the 2nd girl works for me just fine thanks.

-Every. Single. Stripper. Every single one I met dancing in the San Francisco, was not from San Francisco itself. Daly City, Sacramento, Freemont, San Mateo all over but none from SF. Who could afford it anyway? I think 1 bedroom rent is like 4k average.

-I went back to Centerfolds to see one dancer I had ITC with last time I was in town. I don't usually do that, I typically like to always chase new experiences but if some of you guys remember this was the chick I lasted like 15 seconds with. I couldn't handle how hot it was last time, so I wanted redemption. Plus she is hot as fuck. You gotta go Monday where the savings is big time, $450 30 min VIP becomes $150. It's like a bed VIP. Really sexy stuff. Now on a night like this, I made sure I was batting lead off, so I got there early, got a great deal and lasted longer this time. Club has some real hotties for an extras club. But you gotta get in there early because it turns into a real sausage fest later on. It almost gets kind of awkward.

-I had one girl in mind from my last time here, this girl Sasha that worked at Larry Flynt's. Olive skin girl, busty, dark eyes, gorgeous, gorgeous, just my type, I was ready to unload money. Period. I go there and nope she doesn't work here anymore a waitress tells me. Well fuck. 2 years in strip club years is a lot though.

-I took in both the Giants and A's ballparks. Or make that the Giants Ballpark and the A's Football stadium. I feel so bad for A's fans, you have one of the worst stadiums contrasted across the bay the Giants have one of the best stadiums at Oracle Park. I was up top just overlooking the the whole Bay, gorgeous. Meanwhile at the Oakland Coliseum you had an at the time first place team, with maybe 5,000 fans in the building. Get a new stadium or get the fuck out of town.

-San Francisco really is, and I've been all over the US, but it really is the crown jewel as far visually stunning cities in America. Outside of the shitty downtown parts overrun with homeless, everywhere else you turn is one of the most incredible sights you've ever scene. Check out Bullet with Steve McQueen if you haven't been. It's a cool city just run by absolute assholes and it looks like it's getting worse. You could clean it up over night if you wanted to, but the residents voted for what it's become so they will have to suffer the nonsense and learn the hard way.

-Target, Walgreens, CVS in this city LOL they are royally fucked with Prop 47.

C A S C A D I A

-I didn't club up in Portland/Seattle, reviews weren't that enticing. I don't know, when you have limited funds and your know your going back down to LA, you just want to save your money for later. Although on the other hand it's not like I had money left over from my trip here but I can't help but wonder when's the next time I'm gonna be up here?

-Never been to this area before. It's so isolated and such a pain in the ass to get to, I was on the west coast so I said fuck it, let me get up here.

-Oregon is underrated. Really scenic state.

-When I drive up and down the east coast, 95 for example. There is not a whole hell of a lot to see. It's just endless trees. It's like the same sight for hours and hours. Out west it's just completely the opposite. Makes driving a lot more fun I think.

-Portland, I mean how many coffee shops can we fit on every city block?

-Seattle, I was just playing Seattle grunge stuff, Soundgarden especially I was driving around missing Chris Cornell big time. One of the true Rock Gods.

-Dick's drive in I thought had some of the best fries I've had. It looked like they only hired trannies there. Between all the dicks and trannies, I don't want to know how they make the fries but shit they were good as fuck.

Other notes...

-I stopped by Reno on the way back down and no offense to Reno it's got like an throwback Vegas vibe downtown but compared to some of the other cities I just came from this was a huge jump down. Probably a ton COL wise though.

-I used the Pacific Coast Highway here and there, it really is a cool drive but it just ends up being too slow even turning into a local road with traffic lights and all that at times. I would hop on and eventually just give up and get back on the 5.

-I had lost my voice for the entire time I was out here. I was sounding like a raspy motherfucker the whole time. In the age of COVID, not a great look! Definitely made shit a little harder especially when I had to raise my voice over loud music. Total shitshow. Right when I got back home it cleared up.

OTC's....

-One Latina in San Diego with bright blue eyes and really nice boobs. Really pretty girl. She was a stripper in Vegas and said she didn't dance in San Diego because you have to get registered with the Police Department or some shit, I'm not sure how it works but San Diego should really be one of the best spots to strip club and stupid rules like those hold it back. Exhibit A right there. Any way I go to here place and it's this super nice penthouse in some high rise over looking all of downtown. I was like damn, maybe this girl should be paying me! She was a little cold personality wise though she clearly wanted me to get in and GTFO.

-Another Mexican chick from San Diego. More my type, girl next door type. She asked if I could pick up because she hotboxed in her car and was too high to drive, I think that stuff is cute I don't mind at all. If some random person graded this girl above was a 9 then this girl was probably an 8. Not to me though she was right up my alley and unlike she actually seemed to enjoy sleeping with me and the sex was so much better. Sneaky big tits when she took her bra off.

-Some Salvadorian chick from LA. She had braces and maybe the nicest rack I've ever run into. Really heavy and full. Although I tried, I was not able to hook up with the pornstar Violet Myers while I was out here but let me tell you this girl was very close, I gotta be honest. With the braces this was one of those situations where you just had to check ID and she was 22. She also told me about Papusas some salvadorian hot pocket thing (but much better than hot pockets) I got some and they were really good. So in a way you could say I came to LA for Papusa's and Papussy's and I was able to get both.

-The day before I left I had a chance meet up with one really model/level looking girl. She was Latina/White girl and she sort of looked like Paris Hiltons sister Nikki, but actually even hotter. She wanted to meet for 1K and I was able to get it down to 600 but damn that's still so much but I just said fuck it lets go for it(All the other girls were 300) Most people would rate this girl a 10 and this was sort of the girl you have in your head when you come to a place like Los Angeles. So we bar hopped on Sunset and in Echo Park near Dodger Stadium one my favorite spots in LA. I looked at the drinking tab and it was like $160! WTF you get that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach, this is why I don't drink that much, but it was a rare time I didn't have wheels to worry about. Any her naked body definitely matched the face, it was almost unfair. This type of girl is not really my type per say but the universal supermodel level hotness just can't be denied and I was all in. Whatever it was, it was fun but I really don't want to do the math on this one.

My favorite was the girl with the braces. In total 5 OTC 1 ITC. And I thought they were all homeruns. Believe it or not, no enhancements on any of them. Overall it was a great time. Hope that wasn't too and thanks for reading.

I was gonna do now I'm done playing with the girls it's time to play with the boys and do some Kenny Loggins Playing with the boys but that's was pushing it, a little too gay. So I'm gonna do now it's time to say farewell to the valley girls and hit the valley road https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfKIq1Pm…

*Hops in car and drives off into sunset to sit in 9 hours of traffic*

Very nice recap but I think I need to catch it in two reads so that I don't pass up the good stuff. San Diego is a one strip club town as far as booze now. It is definitely not a strip club destination spot.

SF has become a homeless hellhole from what I saw on my last trip there.

And just to add I ran into one of those forest fires way up in Northern California. About a 4 hour traffic jam. One town around Mt Shasta was just covered in smoke. Like people just live in that. It's like a smog that smells like burning Timber, that can't be healthy.

Last thing on In N Out forgot to mention you got to get those fried onions. Double Double, pickles, fried onions. I'm all set that is one good burger.

Give this man a Pulitzer Prize ! I take it you bought round trip tickets through LAX, and rented the car to drive up and down the coast ? Which company did you rent your car from ? Wise choice to go the distance for hotels in better areas.

As interesting as your escapades were, I'm just as interested in the logistics of the trip. To paraphrase 1 tuscl poster : Amateurs focus on how to score with a chick, the pros focus on the logistics.

Good write up Muddy, I remember a trip from San Fran to L.A. on the Pacific Coast Highway in the 1970s a few years after I graduated, the highlight of that trip was a stop in Monterrey and San Simeon, and the tour of Hearst Castle there were Giraffes and Elephants on the grounds and the pool in that castle is supposedly where much of Ben Hur was supposedly filmed, also I remember staying in San Fran, watching them filming a TV show with Micheal Douglas and Karl Malden, and some great Italian restaurants by the Square across from the old Cow Palace, of course I was with the first future Mrs. TwentyFive on this trip so we didn't hit any strip clubs, back then I don't remember going very often to strip clubs, only with my buddies a few times, but thanks man your write up brought back a treasure trove of great memories.

Aww, I think Portland would have been enjoyable for the novelty at least. If you favor the super young type, the Golden Dragon is way majority 18-20 year olds. And that club dancers are allowed to leave and come back in the club to finish or not finish their shift whenever they want. So could have taken somebody around downtown and allowed them to be a tour guide…or other activities.

Sounds like a fun time overall tho.

@minnow you know what it was just me so it was all on me, if I wanted to drive I drove, sleep I slept, strip clubbed I strip clubbed. It’s nice not having to ask anyone and just go at your own pace which is pretty fast. I just had certain cities in mind and when I hit them I would figure out stuff to do there.

@shai you know I neve read penthouse, I only know the reference from this site.

@ nice the girls prefer the term sugar baby, hooker tends to offend them. And yeah if I definitely had more time/money I would I have loved to have hit the PNW scene more

@Jascoi you know I don’t need this story to be timeless like an article would be, it’s just something I would tell me friends and hat would be it. Besides I don’t think a ton of people even read the articles.

@25 Funny you say that I actually wanted to hit Monterrey, I was about an hour outside on the PCH but traffic came up and I just said fuck it. Let me hop back on the 5. If I took the PCH all the way up and down the coast it might take 3 or 4 full days. I just didn’t have the time. The parts I was on it was great though.

Also San Francisco I really liked Molinaris, some deli from the 19th century and it still looks like it. Great food too.

Going from Portland to Reno some of the roads could be dangerous if your not paying attention. One jerk of the wheel and your off a cliff no guard rail at all even.

    @Muddy
another note back in the day southbound PCH was called the trail of tears as you were always on the outside lane and the road was scary in places especially at the outer perimeter of the curves, I remember several close calls where cars were trying to pass slower vehicles amazing that there were not more accidents, especially in those 60s and 70s vehicles we were driving without even the benefit of radial tyres or power assisted brakes and steering but it was a beautiful ride took us three days but it was so very worth every minute had some fun in LA too stayed in the Studio City Universal hotel, met Redd Fox, Lucille Ball, and Lorne Greene, at the hotel pool they were filming promos for the upcoming season of their TV shows, that was a fun time, and From LA we went to Vegas, that's a whole nother thread, we met Bobby Darin and his wife Sandra Dee, backstage at the Las Vegas Hilton shortly before he died. I've traveled many places in my times but that was a special trip.

@Muddy. If you like In-N-Out you might like a burger place called Habit Burger. Mostly in the West but they have started a few places in the East. Char grilled burgers and shakes made with real ice cream. I like them more than Five Guys and In-N-Out

Never heard of it mike but I’ll know for next time. One west coast chain I got whenever I could was Dutch Bros. I like it way better than Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts.

The west coast is a place if it was only governed better and there weren’t so many lunatics I would be out there in a second. Ronald Reagan’s California I would love to move to in all honesty.

Just one more comment and I'm done instead making a new thread. But there was only one club that I visited out in California where I saw $20 dance available. It's just not a thing anymore. Inflation has start to set in. If you see $25 non floor dances, that's like a slam dunk deal now a days. It's getting tougher to club hop, tougher to stack dances...

Thanks Muddy, for a great read. I haven’t fallen for N/out burgers, but haven’t tried it your way (but I will). I second what Mike said about Habit burger and will add that their “Santa Barbra Char” is very good (Double Char with cheese & avocado on grilled sourdough)
