It’s summer season in Phoenix

I made the rounds today at HL, BSC, and S44. Found the same general situation at all 3 clubs. Far fewer customers than I would expect for a Thursday. Parking lots looked empty. More dancers than I’ve seen since CoVid. At each club, I estimate there were more dancers than customers. Quality of dancers was average. Quality of dances was best I’ve seen this year ( which isn’t saying THAT much ).
I had a conversation with a long time favorite who gave me the lay of the land. Since schools closed for the summer, the number of customers has dropped. Typical for Phoenix summer.
Some of the veteran dancers have gotten regular jobs outside the industry. OTOH, some of the veteran dancers are now deeper into the sex industry and no longer stripping. Expanded unemployment has either come to an end ( or soon will ). That’s driving a lot of dancers back to work in the last couple weeks. Even for those who have been getting unemployment, money has been tight. They are enthusiastic about earning some money ( as the quality of dances revealed with some long time faves ).
