let's see, the first SC I ever went to was in the early 90s but it got destroyed by fire a few years into this new century, so i can't go back.
the other major one i went to as a newbie PL/SCer in the early 90s i did stop by within the past 2-3 years, recently. it's still around today. i was surprised they allow lappies in there now because they didn't back then--just table dances and everyone always asked for lappies. but most of the layout is still intact today. couldn't believe i saw the same iconic 90s dancer still there now behind the bar, giving out drinks still looking like she could take the stage, though. she remembered me too. no lie. and before i walked in i said to myself 'wouldn't it be funny if she was still there?'. then again, i had stopped by over the years from time to time and i often saw her still there so it wasn't too surprising that even though i hadn't been by in 5+ years that she'd still be there whenever i came by...
most of the other SCs I ever first visited have all since closed...so i can't go back
Blue Fox, Tijuana, MX summer of 1961. No longer operating under that name. Was in what they now call Zona Norte so may be in business under a different name.
First club I visited was in 1991 shortly after turning-21 - it's still around today - it was Deans Gold in North Miami - back then it went by Solid Gold - if I remember correctly it opened in 1989 then it was sold I believe in the late-90s and renamed Deans Gold but the club pretty-much remained the same and I've visited on and off throughout the years although after my 1991 visit I did not visit again till the 2000s (I did very little SCing in the 90s - then moved away from 2000 - ~2010 but would come back to Miami on vacation 2x/yr and would club - moved back to Miami end of 2009 and resumed clubbing in Miami in 2011).
Also in 1991 I visited Club Rolexx (my first black club) which at some point was renamed Lexx b/c the watch company threatened action if they didn't change the name - about 3 or 4 years ago it changed ownership and renamed Club Climaxxx but still has the same M.O. of it being a black-club - the layout has somewhat changed over the years but it's about the same club and it's still around and same as Deans I visited in 1991 then didn't visit again till the 2000s then have hit it many times since 2012 after I joined TUSCL and picked-up my SCing frequency and was back living in Miami.
It's ongoing gone. I was 17. The girls saw me as a little brother and I unfortunately treated me as such..my girlfriend was working there with a fake ID.
Besides my first SC visits above in 1991, I became a semi-regular SCer in 2000 after moving to Dallas - was driving around one Fr night getting to know the city a week or two after moving there and was stopped at a red-light - it was about midnight and I look to my right and see a parking lot packed w/ cars - wondering was it was I looked for a sign/signage and noticed the Baby Dolls sign - I wasn't an SCer at the time nor was looking to visit SCs but was new in town w/ not much to do w/ my free-time - made a mental note of the place and came back a week later to check it out mainly out of boredom and got hooked - this was the old Baby Dolls Dallas location which had two other clubs sharing the same parking lot - in mid-2006 the club moved to its current location supposedly b/c the neighbors in the old location had fought for years to get the club to move out (or so I believe the story was).
I’m trying to remember the first strip club I went to - and it’s not easy to recall.
I think it was a well known NJ club previously known as Frank’s Chicken House prior to a close friend’s bachelor party. One of my high school buddies got married when we were still in our college years. I remember it looked more like a deli up front - than a strip club. The club was well known in the area because it would feature porn stars. Back in the 1980’s there were far fewer porn stars - so top name stars were something to see.
My memory may not be entirely correct - but the club was in a residential type of neighborhood. There were no large neon lights marking the spot. You walked in through a store front that appeared to look like a sandwich shop. When you went to the back - you paid the cover - and you grabbed a can of soda - and went into the club.
I guess I expected some big fancy setup with beautiful naked women - and cool lighting - almost like a concert hall. It was a few levels down from my expectations. It was smoky and the dancers were nice. They had a feature Keisha - and she was a big tit porn star. She was actually a pretty girl - and it was fun watching her stage show.
I think the club is still operating today. Its operating under a different name - and I don’t know if it still has porn star feature dancers. It’s one of those places that you hear about from time to time - and when I hear Manville NJ and strip club - it’s usually that place.
Cash man, you are correct on all points, It’s Delia’s today. And since Foxtails closed several months ago, the only club in manville now, Franks was the first club I went too also, probably around age 18.
1st club was Top-of-the Strip in San Antonio. Haven't been to that city in years. But I"m pretty sure it is no longer there. That was longer ago than I care to admit.
"It might be interesting to make a trip down there to see how the place is now" - No, it won't be. Boring as far as strip clubs go. you go in, find the dancer you want, go take care of business, leave before your lunch hour is up or your wife is wondering why your commute is taking so long today
All of the first few clubs i went to are closed now. most of the buildings are not there any more, replaced by vacant lots or condos.
i was looking for info on a club i frequented a long time ago and came across this thread on a fishing forum. it mentions several clubs i remember and a few i don't.
First time for me was Riviera Lounge in Hackensack NJ when I was still in high school, early 80's. It had been there since before I was born and was still open until recently. TUSCL reports it as closed now. My last visit there was a couple years ago. Not very good as far as strip clubs go, but for me it was a nice trip down memory lane. Still looked the same as it did 40 years ago.
First SC was during a visit to New Orleans when I'd just turn eighteen (that was the legal drinking age back then). I think it was on Bourbon street so it may still be there, but most certainly under a different name and management. The second strip club I went to was near a navy base, and it close soon after that navy base closed. God it had some hot girls in that place.
For me it was King of Diamonds in Minnesota. It doesn't exist but I haven't been back to Minnesota in a while. I hear it's mostly the same (good beers and cute fully nude girls, ok but not amazing dances)
For my 16th birthday guys snuck me in to some dive whose name is lost to antiquity to get a BJ from a dancer billed as 300 pound Donna.Scarred me for life.
First adult trips were to Tattletale's where I still go regularly.
I have not, either as a dancer or customer. I have been however at the nearby club that ex-employees created when they got fed up with that first club.
From what I’ve gathered through the grapevine from a customer (and google reviews) there is a female manager who has a reputation of being pretty cruel with dancers. Doesn’t make revisiting too encouraging. 😅
Glass Slipper, 1974, Boston's infamous combat zone. ! of 25-30 clubs back then, it still exists as i of 2 remaining clubs. The zone was last great in the late 70's.
Not the 1st one. That was 'The Bare Affair' in Fairbanks, AK back in '77. No idea how long it existed, only that it's gone. Nor the 2nd one, Jiggles in Eugene Or, now an office supply store. But the 3rd club Silver Dollar in Eugene is still there, looks just the same.
I first went Nightshift in southeast Baltimore. It was closed for a year or two, but reopened a couple of years under the same name. But the reopened strip lube now caters to the LGBQT+ community. So while I **could** return, I highly doubt I’d be interested in what I would see or do there.
Nah - the Oasis in Camden NJ burned down years ago. After Bruce Willis and Madeline Stowe stayed at the run down connected hotel in the movie 12 Monkeys
Yes I remember the lamppost and there was one other go go bar on 27 in north Brunswick that can’t Romberg the name was a stand alone building on a corner closed long ago they built well Fargo bank there now
My first was a theater-type one in Pittsburgh. I forget its name. But it was burlesque, with actual comedy routines in between the girls. I would sit in the front row, and that's how I discovered that I could jack off in a club and the girls didn't mind. So it's s life-long habit. I've done shows in about ten cities and several German ones. In a German club, the dancer invited me to come on stage and jacked me off. There, and in Pittsburgh, Washington, and San Francisco, I could eat out some girls on stage. Now, if I don't jack off stageside and cum, I'm not satisfied. Only twice in a thousand times was I thrown out of a club.

last commentNumber 2, 3, and 4 - two of them burned down one has been closed (abandoned building) for close to a decade.
Isn’t it odd how many strip clubs “catch on fire” ??? One of the clubs was a cement block building. How do you burn down cement blocks?

It might be interesting to make a trip down there to see how the place is now - close to 35 years later.

I remember the oil wrestling and wanting to participate (except for the price).
Sadly, the place is no longer there.
