The hidden issue has always been the number of super light infections. This effects the supposed mortality rate and it gives some idea how close we are to herd immunity. These are also the least likely to get tested as they have no symptoms and they seek no treatment. What sane person would want to add their name to Gavin's list in a time of hysteria.

Fauci said in June 2020 that 70% of the US population had already been exposed. And that of these, 60% felt nothing. And this makes sense since it had been here seemingly since Nov 2019, we had little in the way of test kits, and without precautions and prior exposure the number of cases seemed to double every week. So 10 weeks meant 1000x and 20 meant 1,000,000x. Well that is about all the people this county has.

Some precautions to slow it down, like the March and April 2020 shelter I accepted, even though it deeply impacted me and many others. But beyond that, the idea that you could isolate people from the virus, protect them, make them safe, that was pure psychological warfare.

I was looking forward to the reasoned court room debate between Elon Musk's experts, and our county and state public health officials. But no, they are not interested in reasoned debate. They settled the law suit by giving him everything he wanted.

If you're paying even the least bit of attention, the penalty for not having health insurance was set to zero in 2018 as part of the Trump tax bill. There's no longer a penalty for declining health insurance.

No, the ACA wasn't "deemed unconstitutional." Before the individual mandate was zeroed out, John Roberts and the Supreme Court had ruled the individual mandate constitutional as a tax and the government can force you to pay a tax.

The point is, the ACA protects everyone who develops pre-existing conditions through no fault of their own. Under the old system, someone with cancer first went bankrupt and then died an awful death without health insurance. Before the ACA, 50M people could not buy insurance at any cost.

The logic of the lawsuit goes something like this: the penalty for the individual mandate was set to zero, but the ACA still has a mandate, technically, written into the law. Therefore the entire ACA is unconstitutional.

If you think that sounds like nonsense -- that's because it is nonsense. This is going to the Supreme Court one final time this month and I guarantee the ACA will be upheld, even with the conservative balance in the present court.

And this fact them must have been the original inspiration for vaccines.

At that time I thought, probably the period of contagion is before they are showing symptoms. So such screenings do very little. Eventually I came to feel that their authorities were probably knowingly propagating medical disinformation, just in order to calm people down. But such disinformation also creates hysteria in other ways.

I am convinced that our public health officials have been propagating disinformation about COVID, and have been exercising their authority, for reasons which have no medical justification, just to control the population, and to influence the 2020 election, as well as to protect the huge revenue stream of our broken health care system.

Medical people say they look for anti-bodies to Covid, and can't find them, so the party must not have had it. But I do not believe it. Just because they can't find the anti-bodies, or don't know how to look for them, does not necessarily mean that the party has not had Covid and is not thus immune. Our immune systems are extremely complex and they are as adaptable as the central nervous system. Of course there must be some kind of a memory, but we do not know how it works.

As a side note, there's more than one path to universal health care. There's the pie-in-the-sky approach of Bernie Sanders (and later Warren) where we magically eliminate the entire healthcare insurance industry(Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealth...) and force 150M people to change to a government-run system. And there's the practical and modest approach of Biden to make incremental changes to Obamacare and, perhaps, to add a Medicare buy-in. Biden's approach is practical, realistic, achievable. That explains, at least partially, why Biden got the nomination.

And pleas of "universal healthcare now!" are just as dumb as those of "no socialized medicine!" It's a false dichotomy.

There are dozens of "universal" systems out there with their own pluses and minuses. Almost all have a substantial private component.

COVID deaths have never come anywhere close to our normal death rate.  As far as shortening average life expectancy, the reduction is small, quite small.  All the COVID precautions, treatments, and vaccines combined could just give us back what COVID has taken, a small portion of what we would get by going to universal health care.  That way women and men enjoy 5 years more of life expectancy, and they have a lower infant mortality rate.  And the costs are substantially less than what we pay for health care now.  It means less premature deaths, a better job of handling the big chronic conditions, obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure.

When people reach the point that they are going to die, this is when they are most likely to contract a serious COVID case.  It used to be pneumonia, now it is COVID.  But these are still counted as COVID deaths.  Finite Life Expectancy.

Any reasonable discussion about COVID will take us to the need for Universal Health Care.  But the leadership of the Democratic Party decided that in a nation wide general election, that if they talked about Universal Health Care, then they would loose.  So instead they promoted a hysterical response to COVID.

And this hysteria is what Biden is having to contend with.  But he is also stoking it.  Biden said yesterday that he did not want people to panic.  But he is still telling people to get the mRNA Immuno Disabler needle jabs, and he is trying to push his mandate.  And today then a high school in Philadelphia has shut down.  Unless Biden will either reverse course right way, or resign, then I say he must be removed from office by impeachment.

And Gavin Newsom and Sarah Cody should be serving prison sentences.  Cody called a press conference at the end of summer 2020 where she scolded us because there continued to be more new cases, so we must not be following the precautions.  Well the precautions don't work that well.  All they are supposed to do is slow it down.  They won't stop it, they just keep the hospitals from overflowing.  But they do slow it down enough that it goes on longer, and these precautions made us go through a second flu season of it.  She was trying to eradicate it, even though the stated goal of the lock down was just to slow it down.  And then Gavin was scolding us because the positive test results had gone from 5.1% to 5.6%.  And that means that for everyone who tested positive there were another 18 persons who had no symptoms and were not seeking medical treatment, but they were still standing in line to be tested.  All the testing measured was how much fear Gavin was inducing.

When this first started someone, having absorbed Rick Warren type language, "Well what are you doing to make sure that you don't get it?" I already knew that this was a lot like influenza.  It has long seemed to me that I can shake influenza just by taking to bed as soon as anything feels off.  A coworker taught me this and it seems to be so.  You minimize the depth and duration of the illness this way.  And I knew that most of the COVID infections would never be felt.  So I told her, "There is nothing I can do to keep from getting it.  I will get it, if I have not already had it.  So what?"
