Sup. Its about that time a year for me to go on vacation. I had spent some airbnb credit from a canceled Japan trip for an airbnb in Miami by South Beach and will be there in the middle of December. While I do understand thats still a month away. I was just wondering how are clubs over there right now? Namely ones like Tootsies and Deans Gold (or similar). Are the hours still cut, are private dances still available? Any first hand experience from anyone here recently?
Haven't been to Deans in quite some time, did stop by Tootsies shortly after they won their case. They're back open noon-6am as far as I can tell. Typical stuff in place, temp checks & masks required when not at a table. The back standing tables were considered tables. Pretty sure floor dances are off, but they weren't very common before anyway as many dancers wouldn't bother with them. They're also limiting capacity, but I went during the early evening so it wasn't an issue. Rooms are still available. Oddly, I found prices to be substantially inflated despite what seemed like significantly slower business.
As far as I can tell, pretty much all south Florida clubs are back to normal with variations on COVID procedures. Most require masks for entry, many require temp checks, some have waivers to sign, most places that offered tableside dances aren't doing so, many have adjusted seating/capacity, a few have placed stageside barriers. I haven't heard of anyplace that isn't doing lap dances & rooms just like before though.
Stopped by Cheetahs, Hallandale yesterday. NOt sure of the hours. No table dances; private dances as usual. Masks required for entry and walking around. Temperature check at the door.
I'm already booked up using a credit on airbnb for a canceled Japan trip airbnb so at worst I'll just go to the beach for 2 days and drink, eat and chill. I don't think I'll be going to Japan for a bit so prob next year I'll go to Chicago or save up a year and skip 1 December trip.
If anyone manages to hit up Deans. I'd be interested to see what's going on, haven't been there in over a year and I'm missing out on some old friends.
Nixur I haven't seen any reviews since March and hardly any social media post. They posted once on October that they were cleaning. I'd love to go again as it was probably the best Atmosphere I've had since PTs in Dallas. Chill, not overly loud, good looking girls. I'll give them a call in a few weeks before I go. I'll post a review of whichever. I'll prob get smoked for faking a review but whatever lol.
===> "Sounds like the verdict is to wait until we're all vaccinated before a Florida trip. Sigh."
Absolutely. Nothing to see here in the state where all the clubs are open and most are operating as normal or with only minor restrictions. Just stay home 'cause we have too many people actually enjoying themselves here already.
I'm not interested in becoming sick from a virus that's caused a international pandemic.
Not to mention, I'm not interested in spreading a disease either. To clear, I'm super sympathetic to those in service industry that have seen their livelihoods destroyed but that's the fault us not standing up to those in charge in our government. Europe bailed them out and paid people to stay home.
Maybe one day Americans will learn.
HBK - I don't think Dean's Gold has active social media. I haven't seen them post anything in ages.
