Dark Reader ( [view link] )
For those of you who are light sensitive or just don't want the whole world at night to see you using your phone or PC even at the lowest brightness setting. Sets a 'dark mode' for 98% of the websites that you browse. Even TUSCL. If you've ever asked Founder to make a dark mode for the site, now you won't have to. ( ex 1: [view link] , ex 2: [view link] , ex 3: [view link] )
uBlock Origin ( [view link] )
Funny enough, uBlock blocked my access to it's main site. It's like AdBlock on crack and blocks trackers as well. You won't be guilt tripped as often from third-party sites for using it because they usually detect the AdBlock extension itself and not just any adblocker.
Grammarly ( [view link] )
How many times have you been told after submitting a review to spell/grammar/punctuation/paragraph check? You won't even have to think about it just using the free extension Grammarly utilizes to analyze and fix (with your consent) everything it finds wrong with what you type. They have paid versions for more advanced projects like for business or novel writing, but the Free version does more than enough to make my reviews look neat and orderly (but not short enough, I'm araid.).
I was gonna also recommened Urban VPN*, but the site is down right now... awkward (but the program still works fine). Free to use VPN to hide and disguise your I.P. I wonder how many times I've commented on TUSCL from Sweden, Austrailia, Canada, or France. Depends on my mood and how well hidden I wanna be, or how badly I want to watch that one Youtube video that's banned in the US.
* ( With any VPN, you may trigger some security trying to log into certain websites if it's active. If you think this will annoy you, only turn on the VPN while browsing sites you think have trackers or hackers galore, otherwise deal with spam emails from Wells Fargo or Google of some unknown user from Spain or Hong Kong or wherever trying to login to your accounts - not knowing its really you. )
No, I'm not sponsored by any of these companies. I just wanted to share what has made my computer life significantly easier and hoping the rest of you mongers could do the same.
