I've recently switched from socialist Google to FireFox.
For w/e reason I'm having trouble selecting text on FireFox *on my phone* - seems I can only select a single word of text vs multiple text/words - anyone know if it may be some kinda setting I need to change? I don't have that issue with socialist Google.
Same with me, on android. I press and hold, the standard menu pops up on top (copy, search, select all, share) and the blue pointers that let me drag to expand the highlighted area show up, and all works fine.
For w/e reason I'm having trouble selecting/copying text when bringing up a website via FireFox - seems I'm only able to select the first word of a block of text - I even have some trouble pasting also - could be my ph but I don't have the same issue when using Chrome on my ph
This fucking FireFox sucks - I typed a long ass comment on a review, hit something on the page by mistake that took me to another page, hit the back'button, and my long-ass comment was gone (using on ph).
I wish I could ditch Google completely, but as far as browsers and a few other services of theirs, they overwhelmingly offer the best product.
I did switch from their search engine though, as they started becoming to "Woke". But I was headed in that direction already because their algorithms are too based toward paid searches rather than accurate ones.
A few times I almost got tricked into navigating to illegitimate websites which showed up on top simply because Google was paid to place it there.
Let's see I can pick: Chrome, Edge(Chromium), Opera(Chromium), Safari, or Firefox. I don't have a mac so it's a no brainer for me.
Noscript addon makes browsing a pain until you whitelist your favorite sites, but is so good. Something like 20+ scripts load up on most modern sites these days it's insane.

last commentSecondly, what kind of phone do you use? Because I don't have that problem on the Firefox app on Android. Don't think I ever have.
Hold, drag the pointers to select multiple words, that sort of thing.
(in my OP I meant to say Chrome vs FireFox).
I usually recommend Firefox on the computer, not on the phone - but the app has never given me any issues.
Also. Phone + "typed a long..." should never go together.
