Rap Music and how it empowers females

Monday, September 7, 2020 1:52 PM
So topic of the day. Rap music is often seen as demeaning to females. Recently the song WAP comes to mind. As funny as it is people crucified this song because of its lyrics and content but i say why? The problem is people see women as "little ladies" and its not "lady like" to speak like that but theres a ton of women that make a living off of sex. Onlyfans is filled with teachers, cops and single moms etc showing off there bodies for the money that is made doing it. Tonight somewhere in the world people are hooking up on tinder girls...women... wives...daughters are on tinder trying to have sex because why.... its what people do. Name a career where a hs graduate with a diploma can make almost 6 figures??? i can... porn...stripping...hooking.... some women wanna make this a go of it and they should be allowed to without some people complaining. This music promotes what is already happening in life. its fun an catchy or to some its not a good song but the lyrics in a song dont make someone do something they dont want to do....they dont promote or create sex workers.... sex workers are girls like me that make up there minds to do this job and enjoy it...or sometimes dont because its a job....

@poledancer83 Don’t you think that in America the driving forces behind some women resorting to sell sex are poverty, materialism, and the desire to move up in society? Some women sell sex due to poverty of opportunity and influencing social factors. Most girls who enter the porn industry every year may never see six figures. In our capitalist system, it is only the 1% in most cases that will make the most in porn or any other similar type of “industry”. Just like in Hollywood, a performer has to stand out and create momentum to achieve any sort of riches, especially considering the average length of a career in porn before the pandemic was four to six months. Just my 2cents

Someone who would CHOSE that as a thread title strikes me as a stripper with daddy issues who wants to feel empowered by playing music that daddy age demographic universally dislikes (the over 45 crowd).

The happy hooker myth is just that a myth. A woman who just enjoys sex isn't gonna risk rape arrest or being hurt so she can fuck nasty and old men for rent and food and drug money. The vast majority of hookers porn stars and strippers make far less than 6 figures. Girls dance coz of a lack of work options lack of skills. Getting paid daily is addictive even if it's not much money. It's cash you have in your hand at the end of the day instead of a week or 2 weeks down the road. WAP isn't about hoeing its about her enjoying sex and knowing she has good pussy. Its a shitty song and a bad lil Kim impression by 2 talentless clout chasers. As far as rap empowering women. It does when female MCs assert themselves. Nicki sista soulja mc lyte Roxanne shante snow the product da brat lady of rage etc.

—>“WAP isn't about hoeing its about her enjoying sex and knowing she has good pussy.” Here’s some lyrics for you, IceyDodo 🎵 Ask for a car while you ride that dick (while you ride that dick) You really ain't never gotta fuck him for a thang He already made his mind up 'fore he came 🎵 🎵 He bought a phone just for pictures Of this wet ass pussy Pay my tuition just to kiss me On this wet ass pussy Now make it rain if you wanna See some wet ass pussy 🎵 🎵 He got some money, then that's where I'm headed Pussy A1, just like his credit 🎵

@poledancer83 To answer your questions: A: Not different of any job, it is the American Way, the Brutal American Capitalist System. If you stand out and work harder you will make more for the masters, landlords, not guarantee “you” will make more. Just as yourself this question: Why in America while the rich get richer millions of Americans are struggling to survive?

Ive been around plenty of hoes. Not a single one did it coz they loved sex and wanted to fuck repulsive men for money. Real sluts fuck who they want not who pays them lulz And WAP isn't about hoeing its supposed to be a sex positive statement and gender role reversal. But basically glorifies the golden pussy syndrome where women feel theyre entitled to everythung a man has just coz they fuck them.

Let me rephrase this: I can mainly visualize women feeling "empowered" by rap music under 2 circumstances: 1) Playing rap music to annoy elders makes them feel empowered. 2) Their wish to announce to the world "I am so ratchet, and damn proud of it" makes them feel empowered. Happy Labor Day....

Its not about being ratchet its about appropriating the way men talk about women. Kinda like if your wives had a forum where they talk about paying young men to fuck tjem coz you don't do it for them anymore lulz

poledancer has the same type of mentality as the old school male rock stars. only differences are she's female and instead of rock she's into rap. stephen pearcy from the hair band ratt said it was the 3 P's that mattered to him the most: pussy, party, paycheck. with poledancer just substitute the pussy with penis. unless of course if poledancer likes pussy too then that's interchangeable.

@poledancer83 You just reminded me of YouTuber Jenna Marbles in 2010/2011 Jenna created a response to songs like Mystikal's "Shake Ya Ass" and Nelly's "Shake Ya Tail Feather". Here's "Bounce that Dick" by Jenna Marbles featuring Supricky06. [view link] Please let me know your thoughts about Jenna ‘s song. Thank you.

To PD’s point there may be a few strippers and whores who do it because of their enjoyment of sex, but those are the extreme minority. Most get involved in sex work due to it being their last option when they need money. For the female hip hop and rap stars, it’s empowering because they are in a position to profit from the music.
