Yeah, I think a lot of those "places" accents sound the same. USA only I would go with a mild southern accent as being "sexiest". Otherwise, give me a dark haired beauty with an eastern European accent.
Love the Southern accent, but Boston at #4??? Wtf, its not even #3 in fucking Boston. Having said that, when I go on vacation I bring my worst/best Boston accent and people seem enthralled. The old Pahk the cah in Havahd yahd is bullshit also and what foreigners believe our accent sounds like, but that is the fake Kennedy accent. If you truly want to know who is a native, there is one word thats a dead give away: Dollar. A native says: Dahlah. There is also an added y, replacing some Rs, as in the City of Revere (Reveyah). We also replace o's. Colostomy/Cahlahstame. It all sounds fucking awful.
Southern/Texan. Not annoying at all to me. Can be sexy on a girl.
NYC/Boston can be really hit or miss. When it’s good it’s great when it’s bad it’s fucking AWFUL.
Valley Girl-Hate it
NJ/Philly-Annoying/unnecessary water=wuder
Midwestern-Covers a lot of ground but this by a long shot the worst. Cyyyaaandy. Hyyyyaave. Byyaaack. Shut the fuck up shut the fuck up I can’t take it.
When I first moved to Georgia from California in 1988 I had a hard time understanding the southern accent over the phone. In person was OK because I could read their lips.
But now I have no problem. Have I turned southern? I think not. I think the accent is disappearing as more people move in from other states. In fact I think that y'all is used just about anywhere in the U.S.
No one from NJ says anything that sounds like “joisey”. I don’t know how that became a thing. Watch the Sopranos for the Jersey accent. All the actors were actually from the area. No fakes.
For the record, I’m from NJ and don’t find the accent particularly sexy.
I think any European accent is sexy, except British. I don’t know why. I guess they sound like phony actors or something
What the fuck is attractive about east coast accents? Ugly accents, ugly personalities, ugly people. Chicago accents is a distant second worst. Taxes accents are not my fave. I hate the phrase "y'all". It instantly brands you as inbread barefoot rube.
The Cajun accent -the true Cajun accent- is so rare, but so fucking sexy. Do not confuse it with the Metairie or St. Bernard parish accents. Those are both worse than even New York, as bad as New Jersey.
I know the article was about regional US accents, but when I was I Montreal, that French-Canadian accent was super sexy, at least when it was coming from sexy dancer or escort.

I agree with 50 for New Jersey. The Joisey accent is not attractive.
Texas is a good choice for 1.
The rest of the shit in between those numbers is messed up!

@Warrior - gagging, and @ Cashman - Yes. LOL
East Coast accents are far from sexy.
I think northern californians sound the sexiest. And girls from Utah
