Is it free speech I think so. It is also cowardly for these idiots to throw a country under the bus that has given them so much. They only think it’s an awful place because they HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO UNDERSTANDING OF HUMAN HISTORY. NONE. WHATSOEVER. They’re too busy learning taking bullshit social justice/victimhood classes taught by their commie professor to learn about anything else.
JFK, a Democrat actually, “Ask not what your country can do for you-ask what you can do for your country” I fear this concept is lost on much of America.
And btw it won’t be long before they start burning our flag at the start of sporting events. Anybody that speaks out against it or disagrees will have their career ruined and have a mob beat the living fucking shit out them. Sickening but that’s out progressive future.
I agree it is a shitty thing to do as a protest, particularly when it's done by AMERICANS in AMERICA!!
Ironically, however, the proper way to dispose of a worn-out or damaged US flag is by burning. If you have one or more flags that can no longer be displayed, your local VFW or American Legion post will accept them and retire them in a dignified manner.
It's a piece of fabric. If it's a US flag being used for official purposes, then by all means treat it with the protocols required of the moment.
Some jackass burning a flag in the street to get attention is exactly that. Symbolism has its place, but you would think with the country as a whole at risk because bad leadership choices have finally caught up with everyone that people could learn to prioritize their outrage.
I hate it - but as @Muddy said, it's freedom-of-expression as long as they are not physically harming anyone - freedom-of-expression means there are gonna be opinions I disagree with and I will disagree with

You don't say:
"... Dozens Of California Universities To Require Social Justice Or Ethnic Studies Course; Examples: ‘Police Reform,’ ‘Economics Of Racism’ ..."
"... According to CSU Chancellor Timothy White, the ethnic studies and social justice requirement will “empower our students to meet this moment in our nation’s history, giving them the knowledge, broad perspectives and skills needed to solve society’s most pressing problems.” ..."
One part that doesn't make sense though. If I were to set a blanket on fire in public I would probably be arrested. Same should hold true for a flag. Want to burn the flag - do it somewhere acceptable for any fire.
I'm not a fan of flag burning as I appreciate the American system despite hating the current administration, but it's clearly a free speech issue to burn the flag.
America is the richest and freest country around and why so many wanna come here - most people that fail in America is due to their own decision-making and/or the decision-making of those around them that didn't lead them in the right direction nor set the proper example - most immigrants come here and thrive and build a life for themselves, yet many that are born here fail to achieve b/c of their decisions and their upbringing but wanna blame someone else instead of taking responsibility for their own actions and failures.
I don't know of any instance in which burning the flag would be the right thing to do. However, I don't believe it should be illegal as it is a form of free speech.
Just because I don't agree with the speech and find it utterly distasteful doesn't mean it should be illegal. A lot of people find pornography to be utterly distasteful but it doesn't mean it should be illegal and I am glad it isn't.
Ironic how Hong Kong protesters wave our flag as a symbol of the freedom they want while people here burn it. I detest those who burn the flag but part of what makes this country great is their freedom to do so.
Also you can give worn flags to Boy Scouts for proper disposal.
I hate that folks burn the flag. However, I think it must remain legal and an act of free speech. This is a great country because of the freedoms we enjoy.

I think those who burn it are often doing it wrong though. They should be burning effigies of the politicians currently responsible for their plight.
It's such a horrible system that masses of people around world want to come here

JFK was the last of the Democrats. With lbj the current trend started.

The flag should always be honored.
