How long will the social distancing rules be adhered to?

Avatar for Lone_Wolf

All these new social distancing rules for restaurants and stores. Face masks, six feet apart etc...Vegas even more extreme.

I give it about three weeks before all those rules are out the window and servers quit wearing masks etc..

I suspect things will be more normal than "new normal" pretty quickly.

Predictions?

Some people are more disciplined than others - and some just don't give a shit - I'd say at least half the people will continue to take precautions as best the can till there's is a reliable treatment plan - I'd guesstimate a 1/4 of the people will not care and will do w/e (these are just guesses)

Depends on the state and county. California will actually enforce in the big cities

If rules fade / get lax will be back if deaths start mounting again.

California strip clubs suck ass anyway. Outside COI, the only reason I go to Cali is to get to
HK in TJ. I wonder will zona Norte check the girls for STDs and COVID19 once the clubs open back up

I think they’ll have to be taking the temperatures of the dancers and custies at very least. I could see some but not most clubs doing it. In short if there are cases breaking out the club will have to close. All you need is one person.

It's hard to imagine the strip club scene in most cities fully rebounding anytime soon.

Will we have dancers wearing masks giving airdances?

I'm getting a COVID-19 antibody test on Monday. If it comes out positive, I may break some of the rules.

FYI - there had been issues with incorrect results from the use of non-FDA approved tests - seems the government at first allowed a rush of tests on the market in order to get them out there b/f they had been vetted by the FDA

I more or less agree. Their will still be some extremely paranoid exceptions for sure, but sooner or later most people are going to tire of all of this.

Papi - I don't know how widespread this is but here is the email I got.

We all want to move forward with confidence. That’s why we’re now offering high-quality antibody testing to all patients. It's a safe and simple test, done via blood draw – no need for the nasal swab used in COVID-19 testing.

While an antibody test won’t tell you if you’re immune from the virus, a positive test result means you have likely been exposed and that your body is responding in the appropriate way: forming antibodies to help combat the coronavirus. Learn more about COVID-19 antibody testing.

The additional testing is going to change the modeling for the good. I'm scheduled to get my antibody test on Monday too.

Experts on Liberal news sites are worth less than a bag of dog shit, especially when they quote chinese experts. Under the rules they propose why would anyone go?

@ski - yep. I see they are thinking of installing plexiglass particians at blackjack tables and slot machines in casinos. Defeats the whole purpose of going to Vegas.

I play poker I don't see how that is feasible under any of the rules being suggested. I see plexiglass as sop to the weak and fearful, unless you lose all your chips without winning one, you'll be touching chips touched by others. Grabn your credit card, slide it into a slot in a machine, where hundreds of cards touched by hunbdreds of people have been; touch your card, then your face. Thanks plexiglass.

I gotta get one of those anti-body tests. Although we are still not 100% sure that makes you immune if you have the anti-bodies. I have heard the results of those trials will be out later this month and we should know for sure then.
