Be Careful with Club Addresses Listed Here

EastCoaster
I strongly prefer women of color. Every color.
I read nearly all the reviews here, travel a lot, and like to visit clubs that are new to me. There's already been discussion, with the latest re-do of the TUSCL site, that club addresses sometimes show a highway number rather than just the local street name, which sometimes can make a club harder to find.

I frequently click on the club's listing here and use the "Directions to" link to take me to Google Maps. Recently, I have found that a lot of club addresses are wrong -- some just a digit off, but some are *way* off.

I just read Rod8432's excellent review of Club Cabaret in Creve Coeur, IL. I was curious, as I will be in the area later this year. The address listed on the club's TUSCL page says 104 N Highland St, but if you go to Google maps and look at the street view, you realize that the club is nowhere to be found in the vicinity of that address. The club's website lists the address as 1047 N Main St, which is nowhere near Highland Street.

This is not a single occurrence -- I have seen this with quite a few listings. I have submitted a correction, as I have done a few times before, and Founder is good about posting those changes quickly. (Thanks!) But obviously I can't go through all the club listings here to check and replace addresses.

Just a word to the wise. Before heading out to a club that's new to you, you should check the address against other sources first.

Yes, I've encountered this when I attempted to use the "directions to club" for Tara's. GPS was taking me 15 miles to the south near the capital. Just use caution.

Yeah - this can be an issue - an incorrect-address is worse than no-address - IDK if Founder can go back to the old club addresses - if not, then I think he should start-over and just nix all the current-addresses since so-many seem to be incorrect, and put out a thread asking folks to put in addresses for the clubs

Yes. I have found them too and submitted changes but since I don't know all of the wrong ones, you might be wise to Google the address before going to a club new to you.

I noticed this when I was in South Carolina. Kings st cabaret has two different listings and both have the wrong address somehow.

Agree, the problem seemed to coincide with a change to how area's/cities/whatevers are handled.

Lots of places changed addresses. Some are just a few numbers off on the same street. Some are the same number, but a different street name. The ones that are the worst are the areas where there are two names for one street, but in other areas those streets are two different ones. I haven't bothered submitted changes for the ones I've noticed, hoping there would be a rollback that fixed them all.

^ I’ve noticed a few myself, but because I never club out of area it doesn’t affect me as much as many others my advice would be go to the clubs own website and input the data from there to your gps program.

Twentyfive, that's good advice, but a lot of the kind of divey places I really like to visit don't even have websites. lol

@EastCoaster then look on yelp they seem to have plenty of listings. That might be a second source.

I just submitted correct addresses for about 15 clubs near me. You're welcome.

It's funny, but I travel a fair amount but really don't run into this issue. It could be that I'm just not noticing it because I put the club into my GPS and it automatically find the right location. I guess I will have to pay more attention.
