Now i know what’s valuable. I had a colonoscopy a few weeks ago. The doctor charged my insurance company close to $6000 for the opportunity to stick a probe up my ass.

This is kind of a medical scam. Routine screening colonoscopy is a much lesser charge. Usually with no co-pay. Hence the GI Doctor asking a bunch of questions attempting to make it not a screening exam. "Oh, you farted once back in April. Okay, this is a medically necessary examination." The system is royally F'd up.
Healthcare is fucked in this country.
The equipment, the office space, the personnel, the insurance, all very expensive.
But it works out to cost less in a place with single payer health care, like Canada. The equipment is more heavily used.
