The reason San Jose could never host the Republican Convention is that we don't have enough strip clubs.

^^^^ does seem to be criminality woven into their DNA.
We have an honorable military, diplomatic, and intelligence community. It is this which is really hurting Trump right now.

@Jackslash Interesting read, seems like there’s some hints about a quid pro quo with the Russians as well. This might very well turn out like a story of a third rate burglary in a Washington DC hotel a number of years ago.

Politicians are generally pragmatic. When it becomes apparent that supporting a stable genius with great and unmatched wisdom is going cause re-election losses, plenty of the traditional GOP will final state what they have thought all along. Pence/Haley 2020, hopefully.

Haley/Pence gets my vote.

Even better, but I am assuming a Trump resignation with a Pence/Haley term completion.

They say timing is everything... Why am I never in the right place at the right time when these people want to lavishly spend?????

"That would be hilarious --- Uncle Joe or Miss Liz would kill them by at least 150 electoral votes"
I don't really think so. I think a lot of voters would like to vote R, but don't support Trump. People tired of tweets and narcissism, farmers hurt by "easy to win" trade wars, and people outraged by our deserting Kurdish allies again. They might not go to the polls for Trump, but would for a reasonable alternative.
Liz is too far left. If centrist Clinton couldn't win, I doubt Liz would take a Pence/Haley ticket. She plays well to the progressive wing during the primaries, but I doubt her or Bernie would do well in a general election.
Biden would have been a threat, but now he is toast. The one thing Republicans have been good at in recent memory is reflecting their weakness on their opponents. Think Bush/Cheney avoiding Vietnam and yet creating a nonstop barrage of Kerry swift-boat buzz about whether his purple hearts were deserved. Now Trump has everyone talking about the Ukraine with the implication that the Bidens did something wrong. JR, Eric and Ivanka's dad accusing someone else of nepotism. The irony.

That strategy goes out the window if Trump has already stepped down. BTW, you are off base if "right wing deplorable" was address to me. I'm more of a centrist in favor of fiscal responsibility, but with social issues, I am probably relatively liberal inasmuch as idgaf where you pee or who you marry.

Hey, here 4:20, someone else calls those two Ukrainian-American associates of Rudy Giuliani "Rosecranz and Guildenstern", just as I had!

Can we get rid of Pence too? They got Spiro Agnew out in lieu of federal tax evasion prosecution.
