Considering a HK trip next week

A few questions:

Where in Southern California?

How much time do you plan for mongering?

Will be in Newport Beach for work meetings so will miss a lot of the LA traffic, though certainly not all. Was thinking of mongering as long as possible. I function on not much sleep so as long as I can find 3-4 hours to crash I'm good. Driving has never bothered me as living in the boonies in Texas it's an hour to the airport and sometimes 4 hours between cities for work trips too.

From Newpirt Beach to the boarder is about 1.5 hours (light traffic on a Tuesday), from the boarder to HK figure 15-30 minutes.

You have plenty of time to party in TJ and return to Newport Beach.

A simple toom at Hotel Cascadas or Rizos (simple room is $60, with VIP discount $12 + $30 refundable security deposit).

The VIP card is $50 and is good for 3 months.

If you are staying in Newport Beach it is absolutely worth the effort to go to HKTJ, even on a Tuesday afternoon/evening.

Unless you can hit TJ on a semi-regular basis then in all good PL-conscience you should not only go, you must go

I would recommend you forego the VIP card and the room unless your going to arriba in the room a few times. Party till your tired then drive back to Newport at 3 or 4 in the morning. Miss all the traffic in San Diego which is no small thing and sleep in your quiet posh hotel instead of a sometimes noisy, always minimalistic TJ hotel. Then your not at the mercy of some idiot crashing and tying traffic for 5 hrs the next day. Plus less chance you’ll miss your meeting.

I think only the east border crossing is 24 hrs but I’d look that up beforehand.

I would rent the overnight room just to avoid the "knock" plus you have a place to rest up between sessions.

Even if you pay for an hour for a short term room, they almost always knock at 30 minutes.

Yeah - driving back past midnight and resting in your SoCal hotel is probably a good option to avoid heavy traffic (including when crossing the border back) - one would think it could be hard to rest/sleep at the Hong Kong hotel if dancers and custies are walking and talking in the hallways on their way to rooms

At Hotel Cascadas on some floors the wall seem to be very thin, lol, you hear more than walking and talking in the hallways.

I agree if you have the money - take a room so can have multiple sessions and rest in between but get back to Newport early am to sleep since action will diminish on a Tuesday very late.

Appreciate all the advice. It looks like I'm going to luck out and my Wed meeting got cancelled but was able to set up a meeting in San Diego so going to do the room and head back to SD hotel for a nap - less driving to get out sounds like a winner to me! Looking forward to popping my HK cherry. Cascadas was nearly booked up for the night so ended up booking a Jacuzzi room since it's all they had available. The cost difference with 80% off VIP seemed like no big deal.

Don't let a jacuzzi room go to waste:

Find a fun BG, let her know you have a jacuzzi room, purchase an hour of her time, use the Jacuzzi to relax her (use your phone to time it, 10-15 minutes should be enough), and have fun.

My best sessions have always started with some time in the Jacuzzi.

That's a 5 hour round trip drive to go from LA to the border and back and I'm being generous. SoCal to San Diego is 2 hours easy and I've made that drive many times (driving to Barona Valley casino from Orange County).

Why can't you go Wednesday night?

Wed night I'm heading to the east coast.

With the VIP card you can get a private lap dance for $11, as opposed to the standard price of $21. Some will say that the private lap dance is a waste of money, but I find it a good final test before going arriba with a new girl. She might be fun in the booth, but if she is weak in the lap dance booth, you might have saved your self from disappointment. Don't forget to check her oil.

And, with the VIP card, you get a free beverage every 12 hours. There are also online coupons. You cannot use them with the VIP card, but you can get some good deals.

Tuesday and Wednesday Azul has free breakfasts for hotel guests.

And the jacuzzi suggestion is a good one. Not a lot of girls will go for the jacuzzi, because of hair and makeup issues. But those that do can be great fun in the tub and you will know that they have bathed. If they are enjoying it, they will not be watching the clock. (Make sure there is a shower cap in the room. If not, ask for one and extra towels. You will need to tip for the extra items, but it is a tiny price to pay.)

Cristobal the jacuzzi thing is an excellent suggestion and one I have never seen before. And now that I think of it, only one of my chicas was willing to use it with me. No surprise she was the most fun out of the five girls I went arriba with on that trip.

But now that Tahoe brings it up, I can see why a lot of girls aren't down with it. It takes them a bit of time to do their makeup and hair right and they don't wanna mess that up in a jacuzzi. In the shower they probably just angle the water to not hit their face and use the shower cap.

This is a coupon that's in your room and you can only redeem it once. So it's more like "Tuesday OR Wednesday" you get a free breakfast.

CFBG had been suggesting to rent the Jacuzzi suite but I didn't not want to spend the extra money, then Countryman suggested and explained how much fun he had, I was sold.

My best arriba experiences always start with about 10-15 minutes in the Jacuzzi first.

Now I almost always rent the Jacuzzi suite.

Though one caveat, make sure you tell the BG BEFORE you go up, she may not want to use it because of messing up her hair and/or make up or might be a germaphobe.

Also, most likely you will have to buy at least an hour of her time, with filling up the tub and the main action, it is not likely to be done in 30 minutes.

Ya that tub takes forever to fill. You can have a 15 minute session with your girl and then relax in the tub after.

Best jacuzzi temperature is probably 33% hot and 100% cold (there's two knobs). Also the whole bubble bottle if you want bubbles.

Why get a jacuzzi room when you can get a master for $10 more? The newer rooms are fairly nice and also have a jacuzzi... :-)

I say definitely get a room because of the reasons above, and get extra sheets & towels when you check in. If you don't end up using them, you're only out a couple of bucks. If you run out while your girl is on the clock, you sometimes need to wait a while before you can get some. Get your own condoms, lube and body wash stateside and bring them with you. I've read about some guys bringing wads of small bills with them, and don't get why. I take mainly 50s and 100s and fewer small bills, and if you get a drink at the bars in HK to get them changed the bartenders will not bat an eye.

I have done the drive from LA a couple of times and it's no biggie... if you put any belongings in your trunk before getting to the parking, it's unlikely your rental will get molested. I recommend the lot by PedWest and the outlet mall as traffic around it is better and I believe the CBP folks park there as well. It's a bit more expensive but worth it IMO.

One last comment on the Jacuzzi, @Liweet is right the Jacuzzi takes forever to full, so what I do is before I leave for the club I fill it up half way with warm water, when I return I right away begin filling it with hot water and then cold water to obtain the tempture we want.

This saves me about 5 minutes which when she is on the clock is valuable time.

I reserved what they had. Heck If the 9th had been open I would have booked it for tue rates but it wasn’t.
