Cashless Society - Should we mongers be concerned ?

Anywhere there are Titties.
Most of my banking is done thru Bank of America. But my last corporate job was with JP Morgan, so I had to open up a Chase Bank account to do direct deposit with them. After I quit and starting my own businesses, I kept that Chase account to keep my mongering money in. The statements all go to a UPS box so the wife is completely oblivious to the balance or actions for that account. Chase Bank has recently done me big favor by raising the limits on a lot of their ATM machines over the $500 daily limit. Some I can get $1000 and some $3000 in a single day. ( Maybe that isn't good news for me. Too much access. )

But all my mongering, I pay cash. Sugar babes, strippers, Tijuana, OTC dates. All paid in cash. But society is going away from using cash. If I go to restaurant, a store, groceries, drinks, anything, I am paying by a credit or debit card. Its just easier to do. And it's an age thing. Anyone under the age of maybe 30 never uses cash anymore. And if you don't want to use a credit or debit card, there are apps for your phone to just transfer money from one person to the other. I don't use them, but they are becoming quite popular.

So at what point do people just stop using cash ? When do stores stop keeping and/or accepting it ? Will the government stop printing currency ? It's not in the immediately future, but I can see a time not too far off where it could happen.

How will I pay my stripper without an electronic trace of the transaction ?

I use cash for everything I can but in the past year or so I have begun using cashapp, venmo, and paypal for some of it and just have those linked to my monger accounts, I don't have anybody monitoring my money I just keep that separate so if someone steals that they are not getting the keys to the kingdom lol.

I agree that looks very likelynto haplen. In fact it may even be planned for greater government control of people. I believe that crypto currencies will play a bigger role as that happens. Some are completely private and do not show who sent or received a transaction like Monero

Seems there is always some kinda downside to technology or advancement in general - yes cash will likely become obsolete in our lifetime but there always seems to be a workaround (where there's a need someone will come up with a workaround for those that want anonymity w.r.t. their spending - wasn't that one of the virtues of bitcoin where some drug dealer was using it to cover up the $$$)

Nope there will always be cash, maybe not as prevalent, but it'll always have a use as fungible money.

^^ @ papi bitcoin is more tramsparent and does show who transactions go from and to so is not likely used for that purpose as much as privacy coins.

Cashless society is also scary from the point thst if the governme t does not like you, they may be able to lock you out of the system so you cant transact. Fortunately the cat is out of the bag with cryotos and there is no way governmebts can get complete control of them.

Won’t be long that the only way to pay is via electronic means. Government loves to monitor our every move.

A lot of sugar-couples are using CashApp because banking information is not revealed on either end and you can choose to use an alias that your partner sees on her end. Much better than PayPal for mongering. Money comes out of a paperless brokerage account that my wife doesn't know about.

Thing is, if she gets suspicious, wife will find a way to track down your activities whether you pay in cash or not.

As long as its legal cash, it can always be traced....and illegal cash too if you put it in a bank, buy a prepaid card, western union, use any app etc

Cash is always better for strip clubs. And not fed in through reverse ATM's, cash just handed to your girl(s). Cash is better for both parties.

Cash unless you want to actually put her on your company payroll, and unless you want to switch to paying her bills for her.

They have been trying to get rid of the penny in the U.S. for decades (they cost more to make than they are worth), but have been unable to due to demand. I am confident that we won't get to a true cashless society in my lifetime at least.

I suspect that strip clubs will be one of the last places to still accept cash. So we should all be good for quite a while.

There is too much demand for anonymous payments for something not to rise; maybe some crypto everyone moves to eventually.

Although for many of us, the anonymity requirement is not "law enforcement can never track me down, even with a warrant", but more "the stripper/escort/SB can't track me down", which is already achievable w/ cashapp

^ for many I would think it's "don't want my wife asking me about these charges on the account"

===> "Nope there will always be cash, maybe not as prevalent, but it'll always have a use as fungible money."

This. Cash isn't going away in our lifetime. Poor people still transact largely in cash and many small businesses still prefer cash because of the transaction fees they have to pay on card purchases. Some cities and states are even banning cashless stores because of discrimination concerns.

Follies doesn't even take credit cards. They are too busy to keep up with tabs, etc. They do have two ATM machines.

Every transaction whether digital or not, is still in "cash"

In the very least the culture of throwing bills on stage will probably never go away, as it's too ingrained in our media, and is part of the experience. So to at least that degree, they will need to keep accepting $1s. They will probably want to continue accepting cash in general because they know their customers don't want a record of it, so the competitive economy will stop it, because any club that forces you to use a card will lose customers.

That Follies sounds beyond belief!
