I've seen the first season so far but I haven't seen the rest yet.

I thought since the beginning of the series that its weird that being half ghoul half human doesn't effect Kaneki's taste at all so that its different from how other ghouls experience it. The gourmet guy is practically having orgasms whenever he smells him because he is part human but Kaneki also hates human food and can only eat flesh. You'd think that being half human half ghoul would actually make both taste really weird since his human side would be competing with his ghoul side.
