I did meet a young lady on an Amtrak train when I was in my late 20's. Was headed out of NY on a Friday night. Sat with a late 20's female. Had some great conversation. Met up with her the next week in NYC. Took her for a nice dinner and we f'd all night long.I had a roommate and he was not happy with her loud expressions of our activities. The next morning she told me that she had a boyfriend and that the night was fun but it won't be repeated. This might be normal for some of you, but not me.

It might be in some places but very doubtful on the N.E. Corridor.

I've not been on Amtrak since I was about 4 years old But I used to take the train quite often from my AFB to Tokyo back in '64/65. In spite of all of the Japanese porn showing sex on a train, I never saw it and don't see how it would be possible with all of the people.

I take it into NYC mostly. With the way the three airports around NYC operate, combined with the taxi lines and traffic trying to get into Manhattan it makes sense for anyone living along the east coast.

You can always tell when the airports have long delays--the traffic on the trains pick up 3x what is normal.

Amtrak was having problems for years, bit FY2018 was their most profitable ever. You have a whole generation now who have never ridden a long distance train. It is kind of nostalgic and fun. I have been trying to do trains more the last couple years. I have met a number of hot girls on the City of New Orleans run, but have not yet converted it into any rail bangs.

I rode on high speed trains when I was in China. Electric powered, smooth ride, 180 MPH. I would like that option instead of flying between Detroit and Chicago.

I'm hoping that the hyperloop will be the next big thing.

I rode the bullet train to Mt. Fuji, that was fun. I could get into riding trains just for the scenery.

I think if traveling my first option if I have time is to drive. i like finding good food or interesting things in small towns. I also enjoy being on my own schedule.

Last year I bought a King Air with a friend of mine, I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to fly anywhere with about an hours notice. However when you fly you miss so much that you are flying over. But for quick trips it is perfect.

A train may give me a little of both, I'm going to try that this year

I've ridden some local commuter trains but never a long-distance train.

I think Amtrak has a New York to San Francisco line that I would like to do since I really haven't seen much of America.

There is also a sightseeing train-line that goes thru the Canadian Rocky Mountains called the Rocky Mountaineer that is very scenic.

Flying has become such a pain in the ass that trains have become more appealing. But I haven't been on a train in years.

In Europe Eurail is pretty well used, when I was younger and lived in NY tha commuter rails like LIRR, the new haven lines and the tubes to NJ were always crowded as was the subway

This is creative and different. It’s hot only because the girls have hot bodies. Amtrak is a decent experience. But the blue fabric in the cabins looks cheap and it’s not comfortable for anything.

This is like a poor man’s version of the mile high club!

Maybe it's the mile long club, depending on the length of the train

I live a sheltered life. I didn’t know Amtrak still existed.

Huntsman - lol! Amtrak is one of those poorly run organizations - that barely remains alive.

If they added whores to the itinerary - or maybe “Spa cars” - they might actually turn a profit! Then the stupid Acela Express pricing wouldn’t be so bad!
