I happened to be talking to one of my Follies favorites a couple of weeks ago. She is originally from San Franciso and still visits family there but she hates working the clubs there because of the employee classification.
What is funny is there was a "push" to have them be classified as "employees" for Health Care benefits. But with that also comes different tax codes and changes most would not like to partake in.... ie: deductions and more apt to have accurate count on the money made. Plus the club can ask for more "kick backs" or take a percentage.
Also like in Vegas or other area's... dancers bounce from Club to Club on any given night. Follow the "crowd" so to speak. If they are considered "employees" that will cut down on that activity and money flow.

Can't possibly be true. Icey and Trap, who have never talked to an SC stripper and have no idea what the law is about or how it's being implemented by the clubs, know through some sort of osmosis that all the strippers want to be employees and really love it. Those of us who have actually spoken to CA strippers are being lied to...
It's really worked out very negatively in SF; the best I've heard in other CA locales is neutral. Among the many consequences most strippers perhaps didn't anticipate -- drastic limitations on hours worked, to prevent them from being fulltime employees with full benefits
I give them absolutely no credence -- they're being animated by the same miserable troll, most likely. I just can't resist re-emphasizing the idiocy sometimes

Right wing values also include fidelity and not cheating on your wives with hoes young enough to be your granddaughters.
