OT Walmart

I rarely go into Walmart because they are a pain in the ass. Long lines, they check your receipt on the way out and treat you like a criminal and assume you are stealing shit.

I walked into one today to buy something that I did not want to wait for amazon to ship. It was the same price either way and I wanted it today. I used the self checkout to avoid long lines and make a quick get away. What I bought had the security device on in it and the dumb fucker looking at receipts would not let me past. He told me I needed to go to customer service to get the device off. There was a long line and I did not want to wait so I went to the other door and that lady told me the same thing. I asked if I had to wait through the entire line. Thank goodness she said I could just walk up to the front and they would do it right away. They had to call a manager with a key over.

Such a pain in the ass. How long will walmart survive. Go Amazon!

Ordering from Amazon, someone will just steal the package from your porch unless you have a pretty secure place. Headaches with all methods of shopping these days.

Yeah, the self checkout is a big help.

I never get my receipt checked - I think that only happens for large items or un-bagged items (i.e. you're walking out with something in your hand and didn't bag ut after paying)

Must be different in Florida. Here in CA everyone leaving gets checked, doesn't matter who you are.

My experience has been check out isn't bad at Walmart and the selection is nuts. But trying to return something is insane in terms of the wait.

Walmart and Target are both pushing into the online ordering and delivery space. But it may not help.

Gotta be honest I fucking love Wal-Mart. That shit is open 24-7. Almost anything you need. Shit is money on the road especially.

With most items you can just order and use the "pick up in store" option on Walmarts website. They will text you when the item is ready (usually in a hour). Then pull up, let them know you're there and they will bring it to you. No need to even go inside and deal with the lines unless you like shopping at night and watching some of the freaks.

I NEVER let them check my receipt. I just say "no thank you" and keep walking.

Sometimes they check the receipt sometimes they don't, I don't mind. The only thing I mind when I go shopping is when I take a little while to look at stuff and decide what I want and the store associates keep checking on me like I'm trying to steal something- which I never get this at a walmart. I think walmarts in Florida are the worst for ridiculous lines and seems every available parking spot near the store has like 2 shopping carts in it because of the type of people in florida.

^ yes, I hate people that put the shopping cart anywhere as long as it doesn't bother *them*, they are either too stupid, too un-cognizant, or just don't care, and it's a big-issue down-here in banana-republic Miami

I'm not doing much to help the Chinese economy. I rarely shop at Walmart but when I have I've never had anybody check my receipt.

I hate Walmart, its really not even as cheap as everyone says. Last time I went was like a year ago, I bought some salmon that ended up tasting like it was spoiling, kinda like ammonia, after that i was like fuck it and never went back.

Icey, I shop at Walmart but rarely ever buy any raw meat there because generally it is very low quality stuff.

I rarely ever shop for anything at Walmart, I prefer a few better quality things, to a large quantity of junk, and for food shopping, Walmart seems to carry a lot of either hi fat, hi salt and preservative, over processed garbage, and I prefer better quality fruits, vegetables, and meats.

I only got meat there coz they claim to be supplying Hell's Kitchen... so I thought it would be good, but it was very low quality overall. Even their ground beef was gross.

I like Smart & Final, I don't know if those are everywhere though

Wal-Mart is good dor buying basic stuff like canned goods, toiletries,.milk, juice, personal care stuff, etc - I have to buy contact lens solutions all the time and it's significantly cheaper at Wal-Mart or Target - e,g. I have to buy small rewettimg drops that are only 2/3 oz and that little bottle costs $6 at Wal-Mart or Target but $8 - $9 at Walgreens.or CVS, and I go thru a bottle every week or two thus usually buy 2
to 4 bottles at a time and save a significant amount.

Stuff like meat and fruits it's better to buy them at different places.
