Lopaw is the obvious example.
But even among us dancers: Zoey and EveHartley have mentioned they go for fun every once in a while as customers.
One of the things that made me consider dancing before I actually did it was that I visited a strip club as a customer. I went with my ex boyfriend and his friend. I liked the experience as a customer. The conversation. The cheap body spray. The club lights shining on the dancers bodies. I was too young to drink, so I didn’t have any alcohol. But I didn’t need any. I thought the environment was fun as it was.
(I even made the mistake of praising the dancers to my boyfriend at the time. That triggered a lot of whorephobic talk from him about “damaged girls” and all. Oops.)
Even dealing with work hassles as it is, and the complaints that I currently make, I still like the job. There’s been plenty of both, but I’ve had more good shifts than bad.
As of now, my relationship seems pretty stable. When I move in with my boyfriend full time after finishing school, then I will follow through on my promise to actually quit working as a dancer. (And he likewise won’t be doing a 95% travel job)
And then I will most likely be enjoying the club environment at least once in a while. I’ll be perfectly happy to be an occasional trick when that day comes.
