    I assumed the glitter would be contained in whatever plasticky material there is that forms the outside of the platform

    Heels with material like glitter or rhinestones generally aren't clack friendly anyway. Girls that try to clack regardless shouldn't be surprised if stones fall out or something chips. As far as gltiter falling off, I've never had an issue with mine or any of my other general glitter heels shedding or coming off. They're sealed pretty good to the shoe.

    I'd rather deal with glitter on the stage than lotion or oil on it.

    As long as the glitter stays in place I wouldn't care. If it comes off like body glitter I would stay far away.
