Was listening to late-night radio and heard a commercial for a law-firm telling Uber drivers that Uber incorrectly classified them as independent contractors instead of employees and that they can sue Uber.

The gig economy is brutal. You lack the benefits and legal protections afforded to employees. When I labored in the Mills of Mordor, I still had some perks like health insurance and stock options. I don't envy people who are working today. Robots and AI are only going to make things worse.
