How does this actually work? If it's taking the average rating of every reviewer back to the start of time, it's probably over-weighting old information that isn't relevant anymore. Does the website weight the ratings based on contributor "level" or how recent the reviews are?
As far as I can tell, it's a simple average of all the reviews going back as far as the reviews go.
The average rating is really kind of useless. In one town where I have SCed, the hands-down nicest club in town has the same rating as a total shithole because the nicer club's reviews go back four owners and quite a few of the reviews predate a major remodel.
Founder can answer with the specific logic but it looks like to me that the only reviews that are counted for the averages are from the last 12 months. In addition, the numbers seem to be weighted by the number of reviews that a user has.
