What formats should I follow ?
I'm considering just posting the selected text to be discussed then just allow the group to talk, argue, laugh, crack jokes and everything that will happen that will overall bring us knowledge and fellowship
Any advice is appreciated
One thing I do not want to do is come of as the authority
I'm wanting to encourage reading and discussion more than anything

If a bombing were to happen here it would have to involve 2 things. CrazyJoe and a McDonald's bathroom.

Preach it Brother Juice.
After all, as was written in Psalm 37:25:
"I have been young and now I am old, Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken Or his descendants begging bread."

Throw dollars at stage to start.
Juice introduces subject.
Lapdances from strippers.
Conversation on subject and passage.
VIP with strippers.
Final thoughts from group.
Upon leaving everyone either punches or kicks SJG in his tiny shriveled balls for his advocating killing Christians and supporting terrorism. if his ex wife lets him borrow them for a couple hours.
Everyone high fives in parking lot no later than 1:30 am, no 2amers.

I think the pastor should be Sam Kinnison.
Too bad he's not with us any more.

You could also look at quotes that aren't from the Bible, but relate to the Bible.
"In this world, shipmates, sin that pays its way can travel freely and without a passport; whereas Virtue, if a pauper, is stopped at all frontiers."
-- Herman Melville, Moby Dick

Brother Juice, I think you should start each study thread with a passage from the Bible or similar authoritative source for the Word of God. Then we should share what that passage means or try to explain it or try to engage in dialog as to what it means and what is God's message for us, within that passage.
I like when Jewish faithful have discussions like that. Always learning. Always searching. Always expanding. Sometime I feel that we fall short and never capture the full meaning let alone live up to it, in God's glory.
I don't really care discuss the quotes of false prophets, unless we want to discuss the writings of Aleister Crowley or Anton LaVey, who I think (at times) offer fair criticisms of the Bible and Christianity and ourselves, in context. Or maybe forget the last part. ;) But I think what they wrote was more relevant that random celebrities, authors, athletes, or politicians, despite how profound. So perhaps stick to the Word of God.
I like what ATACdawg wrote in the other thread. Meet us where we are, and help us grow.
Amen, brother juice.
