What do you use to block robo calls or scam phone calls?

I'm already on the do not call list.
I already maxed out my landline max number of blocked numbers at 30.

I'm recycling some by taking some off and adding them back but it doesn't stop.
I don't want to pay extra to have an unlisted number.
Centurylink is not compatible with nomorobo.

I'm just wondering if this is a major problem with anyone else and they thought of solutions before going to unlisted.

An unlisted number is only a few bucks extra. I use it and an answering machine. I also have caller ID. So if I don't recognize the caller, I let the machine answer it. They leave damn few messages.

If I don't move within a year and change my landline number, I believe I will pay the extra $8 a month my local monopoly phone company overcharges for an unlisted number. Or just drop them altogether and use cable for my phone if the local cable company offers that. Cable service in my area is worse than the phone company from what I remember. Could have changed.

I have a relative down the street without caller id so I was wondering about possible solutions. I think there are no good solutions. I may write congress asking for them to come up with solutions and ask everyone else fed up with robocalls to write a congressman or woman every time they also file a complaint with the do not call list.

Wow. I didn't know people still had land lines...

Seriously though, I just block any numbers that I don't recognize and don't leave a message. I never answer if I don't recognize the area code and/or number. On an IPhone it's very easy to block as many numbers as you want.

My landline phone only can block a max of 30 numbers. My area has been targeted by scammers but they target millions of Americans phone numbers as well.
I'm currently using DSL with the phone company, only reason I'm still using them.
Cable service is lousy in my area and up until recently didn't offer anything much better than the phone company. I never answer my home phone unless I know who's calling but it still rings and bothers me or wakes me up if I'm trying to sleep in. I could turn off the ringer.

I will check to see how much cable costs. Phone company sucks and keeps charging more.

First customer review for the cable company says
The service stinks and customer service people are outrageous.

On second thought after reading reviews about the local cable company, I will keep everything the same for now.
People have posted complaints like worst cable company on the planet.
Cable is fine if you don't mind losing Internet every week and being out in hold for over an hour each time to talk to customer service.
Then some reviews are even worse than that.
It might be funny to read if I didn't live in this area.

I answer exactly 0% of incoming calls from numbers I don't have saved. Problem solved.

Not answering won't stop them from leaving messages nor stop your phone from ringing and waking you up. I'm going to turn the ringer off tonight though. They won't be able to easily wake me up tomorrow.

I did block the blood donation center. They called several times in just one week and want my blood worse than a vampire. They resorted to an email which I'm used to.

I came up with my own solution. I will just keep the ringer turned off on my landline phone. Friends and others can call my cell.

My land line is on;y for ID; no one who knows me should call it because it's never answered. The VM must have thousands of unheard messages! On my cell, I have a hunch I can block as many numbers as it takes.

I get crappy service living in the country in South Carolina. I might move one of these days if I think it's much better somewhere else.

On the bright side, I don't have any traffic problems unless I got idiots blocking traffic. That does happen on occasion.
