Juice, you might also look into "Byronic hero." No, that's not bionic hero, not the six million dollar man, but Byronic Hero, as in Lord Byron, the poet. It is what "bad boy" trope is based on. It pushes the girls buttons. You might as well just skip all the tricks and got for the real thing.

Don Juan is based on it. All of the Gothic fiction and Jane Eyre novels (Victorian Era) are based o it. Gilmore Girls (maybe you know this one?) are based on Byronic hero. Bad boy is sort of a misnomer but that's how we say it these days.
