That's interesting. AFAIK, Deja Vu strictly does strip clubs, and is strict with preventing extras; obviously that won't turn a profit in Tijuana.

It looks much closer to the border crossing than Hong Kong. I can't tell whether it's walkable. But, if a free shuttle runs constantly, this could pull a lot of customers from the Zona Roja. This could really shake things up in Tijuana. I look forward to the first reports.

As an aside, if anyone is ever in TJ, I recommend this restaurant. Really high end and cheap in American dollars. Home of the Caesar salad I believe. They make it fresh at your table.

Let's hope that the TJ Deja Vu is better than the US-based chain of DJV clubs that are known for their no-extras policies. I'm often amazed that the US chain makes a profit given the more permissive competition that has emerged in many US cities.

I like the looks of this place. A high end strip club/whorehouse with a shuttle bus at the us border. I'm willing to pay extra for the proximity to the US border, the safer atmosphere, and presumably the hotter women. We might need to have the winter meet up in San Diego.

I think James is right. They'll probably charge more for the VIP suites to take the girls to. Surprisingly, my taxi driver said this place will be cheaper than Hong Kong, but I don't buy that. Thanks for the heads-up - Deja Vu seems pretty corporate - I get the feeling they will take a big chunk from the girls.

They advertise the nearby Pueblo Amigo hotel, which looks modern, has 107 hotel rooms and a casino with 500 slot machines, a cafe, and so on. Sounds like a safe and convenient way to spend the night.
Also, consider that this could be a huge money maker for the hundreds of porn "stars" in Southern California, depending on work permit requirements.

Hong Kong and Adelitas have always served the serious monger market. They've never targeted the wider group that resembles Vegas tourists. These are people who want a safe and clean option with some naughtiness. For every serious monger, there are a hundred part-time wannabe mongers who want clean water, safe transport, English speaking venues, and Vegas glitz. I think Hong Kong will continue to serve the serious monger DejaVu will bring in a very different crowd of first time Tijuana tourists.

Man I need to get over to Tijuana soon, it's not that far from LA.

I'm a serious monger but I much prefer clean water, safe transport, and English speaking. Plus if Janes is right and this place has cute white girls doing everything that the Mexican girls do at Hong Kong, then this sounds like an ideal set up. It could be as close as we'll ever come to having an FKK like club near US borders. If that is what this place turns out to be, then I don't mind paying extra for it.

Please keep us posted on this. Usually deja vu screws up strip clubs. And this will likely apply to a strip club brothel as well. Lower quality of delivery, great looking girls, more money. They impose more controls and regulations, and this degrades the quality.

The Tijuana thing never enticed me too much, main concern was safety (guess I've watched too many drug movies) plus west coast is not convienent for me.

If this is what I am dreaming it would be like, I would certainly go out of my way to do this.

I will keep a close eye on this place and like others can't wait to read some solid reviews in a month or so when the dust settles and things calm down.

Shailynn, I was just like you. Terrified to go down there. After a few trips, no worries at all. It's just every day folks living their life. Haven't witnessed any violence or felt uncomfortable at all. I've only been there during daylight hours and just stuck to the border, Hong Kong & Adelitas, and Avenue Revolucion. In those areas, and taking taxis, no worries whatsoever. Knowing a little Spanish does help. Hong Kong is pretty posh and well lit. So, is the hotel. Nothing seedy about it, as far as it being dangerous. Everyone is happy to get your business there, so as long as you treat people decently with respect, you should be golden. The only concern I've had is with some of the crappy taxis with no seatbelts. They have newer taxis in better condition though, so you can stick to those. I'll try to gather Intel today and post the details tonight or tomorrow. Since it's grand opening though, it may not be reflective of what the club will be like on a normal basis, once things settle down. Regardless, I'll report on what I observe today.

The main tourist areas of TJ are safe. The cartels want to keep the money flowing, so they aren't interested in making things too rough.

I don't advocate for wandering around looking for drugs or streetwalkers, and taking a taxi is a good plan. I mean, there's parts of TJ I wouldn't go to at night, and parts of San Diego I avoid entirely too.

I find the claim of 500 young women dubious. I think it's more like 100. That's how many there are at Baby Dolls.

First update: I'm here and the club is all decorated for the opening. It's big, nice, 2 levels, some tv's showing sports. Only one problem. There are about 100 employees and 1 customer, with no girls on stage yet. Guess who the one customer is? Yep.

So, I walked next door to the casino and hotel, which is also nice. Getting a bite to eat in the courtyard restaurant of the hotel and then heading back over. So far, I saw one white dancer in street clothes at the club first and now at the hotel. Think she might be a porn star. Update to follow later.

Funny Shailynn. Yeah 8 mile at 2am very well could be dicier. So, I bailed early, but I do have some info, including pricing. They weren't getting started until 7 or 8 and I didn't feel like waiting around a lot longer.

I saw about 20 girls hanging out and spoke to a Caucasian Deja Vu manager, who appeared to be from the U.S. and just there for the opening. He said there were over 100 girls in the dressing room getting ready for when they kicked off the opening later.

All of the girls I saw were very pretty. Hong Kong quality and maybe even better. All 8's and up. All Latina, but didn't see the women in the locker room.

Pricing: guy told me no cover charge ever, but I did see cash registers by the door, so not sure. He said beers were about $3, lap dances were $15 for one song, and VIP private rooms cost $25 for 30 minutes (house fee) plus whatever you negotiate with the dancer for her services. Sounds like the whole menu is available in those VIP rooms. Pricing sounds very similar to Hong Kong, but I suppose it could vary depending on the girl. If you get a porn star visiting from SoCal, who is willing to play, I imagine she'll be charging top dollar. No idea what the Latina girls will charge, but my guess is it will be close to Hong Kong pricing, maybe slightly higher.

Last thing. If you go, on the way back, definitely use the new border crossing to the west, to get back into the U.S. It will save you an hour or two wait getting back.

Okay, look forward to reading future reviews from people who actually visit while the club is open!

Oh, the club is located in this pueblo, which is kind of like an outdoor shopping mall, with stores and restaurants. It's very safe to walk around there. Not all of the store fronts are occupied, but they are doing some construction and it looks like they may be occupied soon, once the club starts bringing in tourists. There is even a big, nice store, similar to a Super Walmart, with a huge grocery section, including fresh baked goods. Surprised to see a club of this sort surrounded by an outdoor shopping mall. Definitely unique.

If this new place gets some decent looking white girls, I may have to start traveling more often to San Diego. Thanks for the report TG.

I'm reading this thread and I'm thinking its NOT Adelitas and Hong Kong who have to be worried- I think the Nevada "Bordello" model (which has already taken a big hit) is going to find they are seriously overpriced even if Deja Vu is more pricey than Hong Kong. Face it, who wants to take a cab to the middle of the goddamn desert to be fleeced by a clip joint with all the ambience of your uncle's basement in decorated in classic 1970s trailerpark when you have a place that is more accessible to a party atmosphere and closer to Southern California in general? For a lot of mongers , it's also important to have a deniability factor. It sounds like there are shops, restaurants, and other nightclubs in the general area. "Honey, me and guys are going to Tijuana for a weekend because the booze and food is cheap. We got a great deal at this nice hotel." Take a few photos having fun in a sports bar, buy a nice gift for the significant other, and hope no questions are asked.

Hell Mark, Who's to say that you couldn't use golfing with the boys in Palm Springs or some other near San Diego diversion as an Alibi? Or leave the Wife and the Kids at Sea World when you are going to a- Poker tournament .

If this as advertised, Deja Vu Tijuana will be unique in the world. Even better than the FKKs, which have high admission fees ($100 or more) and no strippers. Even better than Hong Kong Club where you need to mess with paying for a room. Even better than Thailand, where you need to pay a bar fine and go offsite.

Usually Deja Vu imposes rules. So probably they will clamp down on the front room GFE. Then doing it that way, the back room and hotel room sex will be more likely to be non-GFE.

Mostly Deja Vu is a think tank. The've analyzed how strip clubs work, and now also brothels too. And then they've figured out how to maximize the house proceeds.

The DV in San Diego had to be hurting, competing with high-value Tijuana clubs. It was only a matter of time before they opened up shop south of the border.

The vu in SD is an awful club. I'm pretty sure it relies solely on tourists and feature dancers.

11pm. left hongkong and arrived at an active open deja vu tijuana. guess at least over a hundred customers in the main showroom. the manager showed me around. in the spa area is 47 rooms. it's not a hotel. you can rent the rooms a half hour of time $25. and have a central restrooms with showers you can utilize with the girl. each room has a bed in it with fresh linen. Nice selection of girls. it is going to be good here. I look at it as déjà vu and Hong Kong can complement each other as a destination for us mongers.

btw hong kong was excellent tonite. adelitas was also very good. :)
