The plot, however, went awry when the Palos-area homeowner caught sight of a young man with a knife and began shooting, prosecutors said Thursday in court as three women faced a judge for the first time since the July 5 home invasion and shooting.

"After the judge set bail, one of the young mothers could be heard wailing in the prisoners' holding area." When you engage in robbery and home invasion, you should not expected to end up whistling a happy tune.
The lesson learned would be never to let a P4P leave and come back unescorted, and yes, always have a gun nearby, loaded and ready

It was just reported that the family of the deceased in the Home Invasion in this story have established a Go Fund Me to pay for the funeral. WTF?! Do people have no sense? Sounds like the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
