Anyhow, The Young Turks, a pretty professional show, pointed out that anti-prostitution is pretty much Sharia law for Christians. That was a pretty good point, as porn is allowed and all that, but two people cannot trade money for sex behind closed doors. That is the definition of a sharia law.

Yeah - we are kinda antiquated in the U.S.
I'm sure in the 1920s Prohibition seemed like a great idea and there were some seemingly great arguments for it; but people still wanted to drink and found ways around it and it was more trouble than it was worth maintaining a policy like that.
