But I think this conversation is more useful with prices for the services. USA is certainly the most expensive.

Europe, Aussies, and Kiwis have US like strip clubs too. Not sure what the latest on Canada is these days. The new laws there made the legalities even more unclear that before.

There is a really wide range of prices, not only from country to country but within each country. For example, local brothels in Athens are $20-50 ( US) but foreign escorts can be $300 or higher. You'd expect Germany to be expensive, but full service in a nice FKK is $75, or so. The strip clubs with brothels in Prague are mostly for foreign tourist and run $100-150. In Australia, Asian brothels are $100-150 but non-Asian service is double that. And, so on.

Over the years I've talked w/ guys that have worked/lived overseas as expacts and not one has said the U.S. P4P scene is better than the places they've been - according to them it's not only the value but the quality one gets for their $$$.

In general, I suspect that P4P is affected by two variables

1. The influence of a conservative religion (Christianity and Islam) on the culture.

2. Average income

The US rates relatively high in these areas. Off hand, I suspect Italy, Ireland, and Saudi Arabia would be lower rated for P4P. There are probably others. One of the reasons that Thailand became known for P4P is a non-judgemental religion (Buddhism) and an extremely low average income. In recent years, average income in Thailand has doubled while a backlash against farang (foreigners) has put a stigma on the sex industry.

Yeah I got that too. It's a valid point that is made. Think about this, nudity is still taboo on regular cable TV. That's usually not the case in a lot of other countries. Although here in the USA violence is much more tolerable on TV when compared to other countries.

You got mail, Electronman. There were crib and apartment brothels in Catania when I was in Sicily in 1986 in the Navy- I think my information is slightly out of date ;)

I was in Rome less than 2 years ago. Whatever P4P they have is really hidden. No strip clubs or massage places. No alternative papers or message boards with ads. At least none I'm aware of. Oh, like the brothels in seaports, I'm sure they exist. They are just way underground.

And we here at the GOP want to keep it that way. You can have your assault weapons and violent shows but we know if you touch or see a titty you'll go crazy and shoot up the club. At least we share those beliefs with the middle eastern states.

Having only been to Mexico, I can only classify the clubs I visited as three types.

A dive. Walk in, leave.

Typical SC with sex easy to obtain. Walk in, watch show, get propositioned. I found an interesting thing I wish my local clubs would introduce. Interpreters that accompany or could be summoned by the dancers.

Might have been a show, but got captured at the door and directly to the backrooms. Again, an interpreter.

RE: Italy. Not sure of the P4P scene there (it certainly isn't visible like in Prague), but American tourists can do pretty well in the night clubs. I've had success in Rome and Florence with both Italian girls and tourists from Spain and England.
