I'm NOT by any means a Raiders fan and have no love for the Raiders' Nation, but if the Raiders made the move to Vegas they would do well to have their training facility at least six hours out in the sticks and make a weekly 'commute' to the home field.
I don't even know why the media even brings this stuff up. The NFL always strives for a family friendly image even though that doesn't happen. They will never ever have a team in a city that you can legally bet on on NFL game. And for you novice guys, Las Vegas is the only place in North America where you can "legally" bet on an NFL game. The "sin city" image isn't a good look for the family friendly NFL.
Davis is simply that delusional to think he can pull this off. Really he just wants a stadium and is too stupid and too poor to put a sizeabke chunk up himself. He makes their late dad look level-headed.
Side note - New Jersey is attempting to make sports betting legal in Atlantic city. I'm sure all the NYC and NJ wise guys love that idea.
Gambling has spread all over the place. The makeup of Vegas has changed a lot in the last 10 years. I think it's a lot more possible that the league would let a team in Vegas happen than it would have been even 5 years ago.
I was listening to Colin Cowherd (sports-talk show) and he was saying that players often get in more trouble in smaller markets b/c there is nothing to do and they get restless and bored - perhaps he has a point - Vegas seems pretty structured and I don't think it will offer leaps and bounds more temptations than any big city (e.g. LA, etc) would.

I don't see a problem. Just make sure the players are home and in bed just like you would your children.
