JACKSON, MS (Mississippi News Now) - JPD Commander Tyree Jones released a statement regarding a deadly shooting that occurred Saturday morning at Black Diamonds Strip Club. The statement reads: On Saturday, February 20, 2016 at approximately 1:45 a.m. Jackson Police officers responded to Black Diamonds Club at 210 Parcel Dr. regarding several shots being fired at the location. During the preliminary investigation, it was learned that an altercation ensued between several unidentified subjects at the location. An unknown suspect(s) produced guns and fired several shots inside the establishment and in the parking lot as well. Dennis Evans,36, and 36-year-old Sylvester Williams were both shot multiple times and transported to UMMC for medical treatment. They both sustained life threatening injuries. Sylvester Williams later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at UMMC. It is not believed that he was part of the altercation nor was he a target. This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with any information regarding this suspect(s) responsible for this incident is urged to call the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234 or 601-355-TIPS.

SHIT !! This happens too often around closing. I stopped hanging out at the club past 1 am a long time ago. Every time I read one of these stories, I just shake my head. Thanks for the info, shadowcat.

Drat again, that is a place I want to visit. People say that new ordinances have destroyed any 'mileage'. Well in a black dive? I'll believe that there is no mileage when I see it for myself.

This had been a place where they took care of business on couches in darkened corners.

Yes, the 64' pipes are hidden somewhere behind the proscenium. They are square in cross section and made of wood. Pictures here show them. This one in Sydney and the Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall are the only two open 64' organ pipe stops in the entire world. Zero for the 128' octave.

I would think it easier to design these huge pipes for horizontal, but no one seem to have done this. I would go for cast out of concrete and an integral and load bearing part of the building, as well as having common sides. No one seems to have done this though.

With these extreme pipe organs, the building and the organ have to be designed together.
