Is "the dog's bollocks" brilliant or non-brilliant?

In a brilliant place!

Ace suggestions all on my requests for alternatives to "brilliant" thread! londonguy was especially helpful! tuscl.net

But I'm curious, is "the dog's bollocks" good or bad? Or both? If I was I dog I'd rather have my balls than be fixed! Maybe it was the bollocks removal is what made little 4got 4get to use the papers! On the other hand, I don't want the dog's bollocks up in my face, so I could see it being seriously non-ace!

And what is the antonym of "the bee's knees"? I'm thinking "the bee's elbows!"

"Brilliant" is best; just stay with that.

Doubleplusgood suggestion rockstar666! But I'm still curious whether "the dog's bollocks" is a good thing and whether "the bee's elbows" will catch on!

Would you ever be willing to use "the bee's elbows" in a conversation? How do you think would people react? The phrase is really growing on me! ;)

"The Dogs Bollocks" is a phrase we use when something is better than brilliant. "It's the Bees Knees" not elbows. A less crude way of saying something is good.
