Not at all stripper related but still brilliant! Did anybody see the stories about KIC 8462852, the star that has been suggested to be a Dyson sphere?

I bet sharkhunter is already trying to purchase tickets for a UFO trip to KIC 8462852! Maybe he'll let us know if the KIC 8462852 aliens have strip clubs!

Full disclosure for the haters, I just think this is a fun story and likely a natural phenomenon. I also don't think sharkhunter is on a UFO headed anywhere in deep space or that he is actually involved in any goofy sci-fi stuff.

I hope it's an alien civilization, but it is probably comets or some other natural phenomenon.

A "Ring World" would work better. Less heat build up and the rotation could provide gravity. A book by Larry Niven .. en.wikipedia.org

Man when I first saw the title I honestly thought you were talking about some new vacuum by Dyson. Those are great vacuums btw.

I read about it a couple of days ago. I didn't think too many people here would be interested in a possible discovery that could lead to discovering intelligent life out there. After all half the people here are still wondering if anyone is telling the truth and if there is any intelligent life right here.

In unreported news, a BORG solar system may have been discovered. Our time might be limited already. We might hope no one finds us any time soon. It could be like the native Americans being happy that the Europeans discovered them.

There could be an object or a small dust cloud obscuring the particular solar system that hasn't been detected yet. I'll wait for more evidence.
