I've tried hard to hate Jr. because his daddy was a dirty racer and Jr. did nothing personally to gain his fans. He inherited them, and they used to throw cans at Jeff Gordon every time he won a race.
But Jr. is a well spoken man, has won races with average talent, and now slaps his huge redneck fan base in the face by coming out strongly against the flag his fans all have hanging in their garages.
I think next race I may even root for him.
