All my instincts told me that she was not a good OTC candidate. When I was finally starting to brush her off, intimating that she were probably not on the same page, she made every effort to claim otherwise. I should have listened to my initial instincts, which are pretty well honed after all these years taking girls from clubs. But as will happen from time to time, the big head was not doing most of the thinking and I ended up second guessing myself.
First, she asked for half of the agreed upon amount upfront. I declined of course, letting her know that payment upfront never ends well for me. So then she asks just for her $50 early departure fine. Not wanting to be completely unreasonable, I gave her half, along with the money I had already tipped her earlier for entertaining me, which in all candor wasn't much. She said that she would meet me at the convenience store down the street and left 20 minutes prior to my planned departure time. Needless to say, she was not there when I arrived.
Well, I hope that extra $25 was worth it to her. Yet another object lesson as to why we don't give them serious money upfromt. ;)

My first OTC experience about 20 years ago and before I knew about TUSCL was with a dancer at the Memphis Platinum Plus. She asked for money upfront to pay her tip out. Seems like it was $25-35 back then and I paid it. Not only did she show up at my hotel room right on time but fresh from a shower. So it worked out OK. Knowing what I know now, I would probably balk at doing that.
Shadow, I have had more good than bad experiences with small requests like contributing towards a tipout or early departure fee. What should have warned me was the request for half of the OTC payment, which of course I did not give her, along with a number of other classic warning signs.
@RickyBoy: The System very clearly says never to pay upfront. Don't you even follow your own system?
Do not blame yourself. You made the right decision by paying the tip out. All is not lost. Do not become angry. You may meet her another day and arrange for an OTC. Simply, do not give her half of the fee upfront.

That’s kinda a tough one – asking for the tip-out $$$ seems fairly reasonable and somewhat akin to the cost of having to pay upfront for the room ITC.
We can never know for sure when we are getting hustled; sometimes we get a bad vibe and it comes true and sometimes we get a bad vibe and are pleasantly surprised - so a small/reasonable loss every now and then is sorta the price of doing PL business.
