Women loved him when he was younger. But from the first movies I ever saw him in, I recognized right away that he is all attitude, all puffery.
I had tried to explain this to my ex long ago. The kinds of actors that women like, they are pretty boys, they are nothing. Kevin Costner, Tom Cruise, and so many others just like them. It will always be a different kind of actors who male fans admire.
But consider tough, the standards by which men judge women are no less silly. SJG
