As an alternative to the restrictive rules proposed by Shadowcat I'd like to propose the following:
- Be entertaining!
- Don't be a dick (unless its entertaining)
- Be truthful (unless doing so is dickish or non-entertaining).

Why all the emphasis on truthfulness? The value of truth is greatly over estimated.
