Seattle: Pandora's Versus New Rick's
Dougster
Meanwhile, Pandora's was a new club opened up shortly after the new Rick's. It was rumored to be tied to the old Colacurcio management. For a while it seems the pattern was that the "good" (speaking in relative stripper terms, of course, not absolutes) would work at the new Rick's while the bad girls would work at Pandora's just down the street.
Lately, however, things are reversing as New Rick's declines. It's probably a conscious effort of Pandora's to capitalize on this. Now Pandora's is filled with fresh, young girls many of whom seem to legitimately be college students (or at least told to act that way. :-) ) They actually make an effort to dazzle you with their personalities, and many of them are at least a few months away from being completely jaded - unlike new Rick's. It is funny how the roles have completely reversed.
I don't think the new Rick's is completely going away, but is probably losing money at this point and likely to walk around in a zombie state for years. Meanwhile it will be interesting to see what the transition does to Pandora's - this used to be the number one magnet for local extras hounds. The new emphasis, however, is on good looking, young girls with decent personalities. Will the net result be good for their business? At old Rick's they did a good job of mixing good and bad girls such that there was always one to please every type of customer.
