Of course, none of us would ever let something like this happen to them - probably because so few of us actually resemble rich marks. Thing is it seems they actually picked up and drugged these guys in hotel bars and then dragged them to a club so they may not be your run of the mill PL.
I would have volunteered to be the mark in the police's sting operation though. That would have been fun.
The New York Times also had a story on this, proving that everybody is interested in stripper blackmailers.
