I haven't visited chat rooms in years. Kept running into hackers. That probably explains why back then I had weird messages and hacker results popping up whenever I did Internet searches. Someone invited me to join them and sent me to a web site saying I would be hunted by the NSA, FBI, and just about everyone else. no thanks.
The hacker message board stating the hacker name, system or corporate system hacked and any messages left was cool.
That reminds me I was going to check to make sure my pc wasn't hacked via malware and turned into a bot. I read today you have up to two weeks to check your pc before the criminals probably have a chance to regain control of infected pc's.
As far as entertainment goes and posting messages, I read www.abovetopsecret.com when I want to go to sleep.
IRC was especially bad for hackers back in the day. I believe it's also still used for "command and control" for most of the world's malware/bots that take over peoples' PCs.
I believe I may have used irc. One guy one night kept nuking me. My screen kept blacking out for a few seconds at a time. That is until I posted in the chat area that I thought someone was messing with me. Someone posted lol or similar and then it quit.
Another night I overheard an argument between two hackers. One liked to leave evidence behind. The other one told him he wasn't a real hacker unless he left no evidence.
Yes, the IRC used to really be the gutter of the internet. Even worse than TUSCL is now. When I've talked to some of the late teens/early 20s strippers they tell me there are now even worse places, however. Can't remember the names, though.
I never bought a web cam. I did see some YouTube videos of chat roulette. That was enough for me. Some girls said they see a lot of unwanted guys dicks on there. Some other guys said you could post fake videos and watch reactions to the videos as the other party doesn't know the video is not live. The NSA and others I believe can watch you on those web cams. I guess if you don't care for any privacy, you already got one and have been visiting chat roulette. Of course hackers and the NSA could invade your pc and copy files off without you even knowing if they wanted.
