A few years ago at mars mens club in akron I had a stripper dance six feet in front of me the whole time. Not all of the girls were that strict though but they were all pretty tame. Today it has better contact.
Also Vanity in Columbus was known for an air dancing club and I got some pretty pathetic dances there but never a complete six feet away air dance.
Speaking of airlines, the Flight Club in Michigan had chartered flights to Las Vegas for the weekends. They would have strippers on board to entertain the passengers. It did not last for long though due to high costs.
Only once have a tried a "lingerie modeling studio." That was around 2004. Since I had never been, I asked very carefully what the procedure was. I was told the admission charge was $40., and that I should pay the dancer an additional $40. for a good time. This was for a specified amount of time. Maybe it was 15 min. So, now I've paid $80. and all I got was an across-the-room air dance. She stood in one corner, and I was diagonally opposite. We were about ten feet apart. On top of that, I was asked to jerk off. (I sense that was to "prove" I wasn't a cop.) Fortunately, that location later became a conventional strip club.
New Jersey: I have been in several clubs there and they were all air dance clubs. The worst contact lap dance I have had was a table dance at Harem House in Indy. A guy in the group bought me a table dance from a girl built like a fire hydrant and she proceeded to bounce up and down on my lap like a 150 lbs. medicine ball. When she was done I pushed her off half way through) I felt like I had been hit in the abdomen by a car. Everything hurt from my thighs to my chest.
Slick, I can no longer recall its name, but it was located where the VIP Showgirls club is in North Hollywood. The studio space and adjoining lease space were acquired when it was taken over by VIP.
I forgot about the Paris House. I was there also, but that was in the mid 1970's. I did have a similar experience (no jerking off required), but they probably only charged $20-$25 admission, so that wasn't a huge disappointment. But, I recall that I left before my allotted time was up. It was really boring!

So you never flew on the old Hooters Airlines?

@CG-Was this place the Paris Modeling Studio?
I had a semi-favorite that started out as a "flight attendant" on Hooters Air - when they shut down she started stripping
