“… Lap dances are only $5 which was probably the cheapest thing at PinUps but you have to really keep count of the songs. These girls are hustlers and will just spill out an amount at the end. So one of my friends who was a strip club rookie was charged $130 after 20-30mins of lapdances. He tried to argue it but ended up being escorted to the ATM by the security and had to pay the girl. This girl was all nice at the beginning but had a serious attitude when my friend told her he only had $100 on him. Your word agaisnt theirs...you'll never win. So be very careful. What i did and always do at Strip clubs is pay ahead for lapdances and will pay more if I want to continue and not wait till the end …â€
Since I know that Pinups is a black ghetto club, I wouldn't have been there in the first place. I don't pay for service up front including lap dances but if I was caught in this guys situation, I wouldn't have told them that I didn't have an ATM card. If that didn't work, I would probably do what he did and pay them. $130 is not worth an ass kicking.
Has anyone ever heard of a SC patron being forced to pay up by club security? I can see a patron being tossed out; but being “escorted†to the ATM machine and forced to pay up?
Perhaps the reviewer did not state all the facts clearly and it seems the custies in questions were kinda SC rookies/inexperienced.
Filmore's in Toronto is like that. They also do that shit during "after hours" at The Men's Club in North Carolina.
If I get more than a couple dancer, I say "this is song number X right?" as the start of every song. But even then, sometimes the VIP ape will claim its more dances even when the dancer agrees with the custy.
I had something like this happen at the OG in Vegas years ago. I negotiated a VIP dance with two dancers for a set rate up front. They both agreed on the price to split. The waitress came back to the VIP for the mandatory 2 drinks... I ordered 3 and asked the waitress if she wanted one and she said yes. So I ordered a 4th for her. (yes it was way late/early in the day). So anyways we have a great VIP with no hassle from waitress after the initial drink hustle. the time is up and I give my CC and DL to the waitress to pay for the VIP and drinks. They ask for a DL to make sure CC isn't stolen. She said it is X price right. Yep it is the price we all agreed upon. When the bouncer comes back to have me sign the CC slip. it is $500 more than what was agreed upon. I tell him no way am I signing that. That is not the price of the VIP. The dancers argued and said no way you are over charging him. The waitress hears the uproar. Yes I was getting pissed and this bouncer was not going to strong arm me. She comes back. Rips up the slip grabs my CC and goes and runs it for the correct price. She also shows me the slip canceling the first run of the card. I tip her an extra $50. As I am walking out I need to pick up my DL at the front desk. There is the bouncer. I ask for my ID and he says...nope he is keeping it. So again I get a little pissed off. I say he better give it to me or things will get ugly for him in a hurry. He leans in as he puts my id on the counter (rookie mistake to do to a pissed off man) and says....What do you think you are going to do. Well I popped him in the jaw and grabbed my ID. Yes I punched a bouncer that was bigger than me in the face at a Strip Club in Vegas. I didn't run out of the place or anything like that. As he collected himself I turned and walked out the door with a smart ass grin on my face. Seeing what he would do. He stood there like a bitch and knew he fucked up. I jumped in a cab and off back to my hotel. I told the cabbie about the ordeal. He said that he hears of that bouncer doing that type of shit all the time. Over charging drunk customers. He fucked with the wrong one that night.
Now here is the kicker.... 2 months later I am back in vegas and go to the OG again. I end up having the same waitress. She remembered me. I ask her if I should get out of the club or not. She said no...and that the douche got fired that day for what he did. She said when you hit him the other bouncers just laughed and knew it that he was going to piss off the wrong guy. They all knew of the scam he was doing and so did the management.
So to moral of the story is stick to your guns and don't stand for being over charged on songs.
And yes I know I was lucky I was not found in the desert with a double tap to the back of my head.
I go to black SCs all the time and since I tend to average about a visit per week; I run into my fare share of over-counters and/or over-chargers.
I always fight it and to this date have not had management take a dancer’s side. I get a lot of dances from many different dancers and often I am the one getting the most dances in a black SC – so when a black dancer pulls the “you owe me x†shit and gets the manager involved – I will just say – “hey I’ve been getting dances all night from x different dancers and no one has complained except youâ€.
I think part of the problem with the dive black clubs is the $5 per dance thing so dancers almost feel obliged to rip off the few paying custies in order to make some $$$. I also get the sense the black dancers think they can intimidate a white custie b/c he may be scared or intimidated in an all-black SC (99% of the time I am the only white person in the black SCs I visit).
More often than not when a dancer tries to strong-arm me; I’ll say fuck no and more often than not they’ll back off w/o getting management involved. I also believe that club management is aware of some of these girls trying to rip off custies so they don’t necessarily give the dancer the benefit of the doubt no questions asked.
I also never seen anybody get physically assaulted for not paying – I get the impression club management would not like to have the authorities involved?
But yeah – the custies in the OP made a typical rookie mistake of letting a dancer dance for an extend period of time w/o keeping track – that is like opening your wallet up and letting a stripper take what she wants.
Most of the Akron clubs have $5 dances and they play the full length song 4-5 minutes. Then we have Columbus clubs that charge $30 per song and clip the songs to 3 minutes.
