Often times shows are set in other cities and the show films a scene or two there and uses some stock footage, but the bulk of ordinary footage is filmed in SoCal. Every once in a while some production will inadvertently film painted curbs, commonly used in CA to denote parking but not common in the Midwest, yet the show is supposedly set in the Midwest. I'd imagine arborists have long since tuned out the same observation about trees and other growth filmed. The productions I speak of usually just try to avoid filming any palm trees and hope folks don't care about the rest.

I now consider myself lucky to live in Houston for a variety of reasons, but for purposes of this site, it's because of high mileage clubs.
